Vickers is absolutely killing us in Europe. I’d rather he now healed completely because we cannot deal with missing him in away games in the Champions League in places like Germany and Italy moving forward.

    It is * frustrating.

We have 3 centre backs doing * all for the team get them sold and get in a quality centre half in January as Vickers is becoming a sick note .

No CCV again. Love the guy but he's a * sick note.

Our defensive options are genuinely dire at this level. Desperately need to invest some real money in proper players over the next two windows there.

    Dreading this now.

We NEED to reshuffle the pack for this one. If we don't switch something up it will be another humiliation.

AJ at right centre back, I know he wont change but he needs to do something different. Especially away from home in Europe.

There's usually one big surprise result every round of games.

PSV getting a draw at PSG? Not enough of a surprise for me. All the other results were obvious results.

Only leaves Young Boys getting a result against Inter or us away to Atalanta *insert eyes emoji*

Scales and Trusty, sounds like the name of some dodgy cowboy builders.

Play a bit deeper and hit them on the counter. Cannot leave as much space as Dortmund or we'll be battered to death again.

Grand old team to play for
    Kasper
    AJ - Trusty - Scales - Valle
    Engles - CalMac
    Kuhn - Hatate - Daizen
    Kyogo
Need to have Engles helping screen the defense and Daizen and Kuhn will need to do plenty running to press, help the defense out and counter attack.

Earlier on I was checking some of the highest scorers on this week's Sky Super 6.

Interestingly, most of them had this as being close :giggle1:. A couple of draws, narrow defeats and one or two even had us winning!

Do they know something we don't? :giggle1:

    Confidence has increased.. :fear:

Currently we are in 2nd bottom play off place and may move up quite a few places if we win to at least 11th I think which is 3 places below direct last 16 qualification

Carter Vickers has missed the majority of Champions League games since he’s been here.

Obviously terrible for us but you’ve got to feel for him on a personal note.

Heavy underdogs tonight but we need to stay compact early doors. If we press, press together. No Kyogo and Maeda running in to blind alleys and leaving 40 yards behind them.

A huge ask but it’s not beyond us to get a result if we play to our strengths. They’ll leave plenty space in behind so as long as we don’t capitulate we should get chances.

No chance, just park the bus and get through it with minimal damage.

If Rodgers is this top tactician he must realise that GD is more than likely to factor in this Swiss League and he must act accordingly - make us hard to break down, suffocate the game. * anti-football our way to a 0-0 draw for all I care, still better than getting thumped 6-0

Quite looking forward to this. Bit like waiting for Dr Who to come on when you were a kid. Know you'll be hiding behind the sofa soon enough but always the hope that something special might happen.

Parking the bus can be just as bad, look at Dortmund second half last night. I don't think there is a right answer, if the better team turns up they usually win, it's modern football unfortunately

Can we forfeit the game, only a 3-0 loss then lol.

Hopefully we've learned lessons from the Dortmund defeat. CCV is a massive loss here.

Genuinely can’t remember feeling as much trepidation going into a Champions League tie as tonight. Including the rampaging Barca’s and 15 times winners under Ange.

And that’s purely because of our refusal to alter enough to play the opponent. Atlanta aren’t an elite club but they are very, very, similar to Dortmund in terms of pressing and pace from middle to front. It could be another serious towelling. Hope I’m wrong.

Imagine coming away with something in that context, it would be massive.
