We all see things differently but thought Hatate was brave on the ball & showed good composure whilst getting stuck in. Wasn’t perfect but most composed of all our midfielders.

 

Good defensive performance thus far from the back four and Kasper midfield having zero aggression and awareness in picking up runners will be our undoing again. 5 shots for Pasalic and not one of the 3 lads we have is getting anywhere near him

 

How desperately do we need a physical, holding midfielder?
It must be obvious, shoorley - even to Rogers.

 

They are a good team though.
Serie A arguably one of the best leagues for having a good group of top end clubs who could all push for UCL and Title positions.
They sit up there with Roma, Napoli and the two Milan's for the last few years.
They're a much better side in the last 5 years or so than people would initially think.
Last 5 or 6 years they've been 3rd three times, 4th a couple times and 5th.
They're consistently up there.

Let's wait and see what the end result is before we complain. Atalanta are a top team and they scudded the Bundesliga champions 3-0. If it ends in a heavy defeat then aye, no defending it, but so far it's went how I'd expect, bar Engels and Idah having a stinker

 

Need to stop thoes crosses and keep it as boring as the first half .Bernardo on for engels

Aye obviously they are good.

But they are being treated like a Madrid, Bayern or City. Which they aren’t. Can’t be bullied by players like Zappacosta and Pasalic.

 

Exactly, and their worst player would likely improve our squad - much the same as us when we play in Scotland.

It's levels apart and we've gave a good account of ourselves (defensively at least) in the first half.

 

I hope we keep it tight for 20 mins but the least surprising thing in the world would be Atalanta coming out guns blazing and scoring a few early.

That's no excuse for being incapable of passing the ball 5 yards to a team mate.

 

Looking for Idah to show something soon.

 

Need more from Idah, Engles and Maeda this half.

 

Started different these last couple minutes compared to last half can tell the way a player passes a ball if they are comfortable or if the are wanting rid of the ball right away as in want nothing to do with it
