Yet you need to be told that shouting “I, I, Irish Republican Army” (or similar) at a * Champions League game in England isn’t helping anyone, most of all Celtic fans.

As i said regularly visited family in Magherafelt during the troubles, when were you in the North during the troubles?

I was in The North on a number of occasions, seeing as you’ve asked, and my Grandfather was imprisoned in the Republic for doing his bit when it counted (like many, many more).

Looking forward to this one. I don't want to bring Politics into it but it could be a bit of a toxic one with the history there of the Birmingham bombs. As a Republican and from a Republican family in Derry we are ashamed of that bombing. It was a terrible atrocity. Something no one could be proud of. But one botched attack does not denigrate a whole struggle. I hope that the night passes off peacefully and there is no kind of singing that sullies the good Celtic name. Songs about Ireland and it's history are common place but let's be sensible.

Moving on from that and I won't be replying to anyone who takes me up on what I have said, Maeda will be a huge miss for us. I think Rodgers will slot Yang and Idah in to fill the Maeda and Kyogo gaps and go with the same team otherwise as last week.

Taking my boys down for this. Will be our first away game together. Anyone else going to the mochara event on Lower Trinity street?

 

Yang will offer nothing defensively, and he gives me the fear whenever he tries to defend, Need legs and energy as we will have a good bit of defending to do.

 

Remember Rodgers is a Premier League expert. I reckon we’ll beat them to be honest. Will be a lot more difficult with no Maeda or Kyogo but maybe that goal will give Idah massive confidence.
