Ya, 4-2-3-1 might not be a bad shout either. 3-5-2 would worry me a bit, what with Scales and Trusty both being poor passers of the ball.

Firstly thank you for allowing Celtic fans to celebrate our Irish heritage. That means so much. Secondly as a couple of people have mentioned afterwards there were some very hardcore Irish Republicans in 1916 and during the war of Independence. You are either and Irish Republican or you are not. The 1916 IRA good. Provos bad is just stupid.

I'm trying not to worry about it. I take your points on Scales and Trusty. As I have said, It's a shot in the dark, we've got nothing to lose, we have already qualified. We need also to focus on the League and Scottish Cup.

Not sure how we'll be more efficient in the final 3rd without Maeda & Kyogo..

Why worry about Maeda and Kyogo ?
Kyogo has been missing sitters for two years now, and Maeda is pretty good at fresh air swipes in front of goal.

We have got a rejuvenated Yang on the left wing.:giggle2:

Formation change is a no for me. For these kinds of games I think the players benefit more from a more simplified gameplan.

We need to be prepared to have less of the ball and less time on the ball. The midfield needs to ensure they dont get too far forward and leave large gaps to the defence. The wide forwards need to work their balls off to help the defence out.

The defence needs to stay tight. Defend the box well. Be alive to their positioning and being caught too far forward. Full backs first priority should be defensive with less emphasis on attack than usual.

Have a clear idea of how you want to attack in possession and on the break.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Rodgers sticks Valle at LW … bit safer in possession than Yang and might cover Taylor a bit better.

Would feel a bit better sticking Yang on against tired legs if anything.

Maeda has 3 CL goals.. Kyogo had the ball in the net 3 times v YB..

    Yang & Idah doesn't = efficiency:56:

Valle can't defend to save himself. I would drop Taylor and play Scales at left back.

I don’t think you’ve read my post properly, i couldn’t give a monkeys * if we look crass and ignorant down there, i don’t think much of them either. Our songbook in every game we play is 80% about the Irish struggle, why should we change that just because we’re playing down in Birmingham?

Maeda will be a massive miss but apart from them two we are at full strength. Mings went off with an injury earlier so they literally have 1 CB available, Onana out, Duran wants away on top of that their not in great form and are treating this as a must win game and we know they can be nervous. I have seen enough of them to think we can hurt them but respect they have real quality that can hurt us too. I would take a draw but would not be surprised if we nicked it either.

Scales might not be a bad shout, but he would need help on that left hand side as he’s not the quickest.

The headache is who you play left wing, I don’t know if Yangs ball retention would get us in trouble at times.

Watch me say this and he scores a hat trick or something midweek :56:

Not much anyone can say to that really, is there? You sure you’re not secretly one of them?

Why is this relevant to this football match? Majority of both sets of fans will just want to focus on the game.

They also have pace and strength all over the park with a manager who's tactically astute..

They may be a little nervous but we're going in without two players who aren't out of place at that level..

Hopefully we play like we did v Atalanta and not Dortmund..

You have a set of fans who are mostly of Irish heritage or born in Ireland playing a team from Birmingham, how would it not be relevant?

Anyone who uses the word ‘patter’ isn’t really in a position to call anyone else “childish”. Not much of a counter-argument either.

You want to go out and disgrace yourself, then, no one can stop you, but don’t drag the 99.9% of decent Celtic fans down with you. And before you start shouting your mouth off again, I’m Irish; I grew up in the era of The Troubles; I’m a Republican; and I’ve zero love for the Brits. That doesn’t mean that I think behaving like Huns is a good look though. You do you, though.
