Bitton is a creative player that just likes to play in the rear areas. Now Kayal was a proper DM. Or Wanyama.

Well that showed that we definitely need to sign a quality CB to partner Jozo.

If Jozo gets an injury and Erik is sold it means we would be going into CL games with a pairing of Boyata/Rivaldo/Ajer/Bitton.

Even though Boyata was good last season I'm not convinced he would be able to step up to CL level. Bitton(CB) definitely can't. Ajer and Rivaldo are young prospects.

Sign an experienced CB please, Brendan.

Ntcham 100% is a DM who will eventually replace Broonie.....
yes he gets forward now and again, but so does Armstrong and even Broon/Bitton

Eboue is a defensively minded DM. Hopefully he can get fit and a run of games to give us another option.

Exactly, Brendan is the man, gets us through with make shift defence and no Moussa, i want to get Spurs and some not so great teams, WE CAN DO IT!.... i remember watching Macari, Dalglish, Hay etc in Europe regularly when i was a kid, and this is the closest i have seen to that for a long time, its was Big Jocks management that made the difference, and Brendan has that potential, our goals were magic tonight, we Griff is class!!!!imagine us scoring three crackin away goals?..... ya beezer!

Bit of a haze now but way i remember it was 2nd goal Broony gave it away mega cheaply then in 2nd phase ball came in and Broony flicked it on and a better paring would have scooped up!

Their 3rd the guy had about 3 * days to finish....Bitton's Partick Thistle Doolan moment coming home to roost.....think i saw KT at the back post going nuts!

Their 4rth Lustig didn't cover himself in glory but to be fair i think he was dragged out to cover for Bitton out of position.

This was quite theraputic typing this!! Thank you Nir Bitton for helping get us through the last few weeks and also to Ajer for tonight!! This experiment must now end for Europe anyway. Job done!!

I fully expect this to make us stronger!!

The Celtic Song ... There can be only one !
Had time to think it over.

    5-0 at home
    3-4 away
    8-4 aggregate

All against a team that pushed us all the way last season and who looked a pretty useful team now.

We scored 8 goals over 2 legs. They scored 4. But, still needed another 5 to put us out and go through.

We were without key players particularly in defence. Boyata, Eric, Jozo also Moussa and Paddy from last year.

We were playing 16.30 our time and finished at 18.15. ........ 21.30 / 23.15 over there.

Pitch was awful. I hate plastic pitches.

We didn't play well. But, we have a better idea of what CL football is all about. We won 8-4 over 2 legs. Arcade in the hat for the CL group stages forward the 2nd year running. We are looking at circa £30m for starters.

    I'll settle for that anytime.

Enjoy the evening Bhoys and Ghirls. Let Brendan sort out the little problems we have.

At their best they still needed 3 goals and we had Bitton at CB for 180 mins.

4-3 is a great result for them and really flattered them in the end. We could've been 3-0 up in the first half.

Tiredness and complacency played its part tonight but it was no problem.
