Defence was shocking to be fair, but we have the fire power thankfully.

Bitton at fault for 3 of the 4, Gordon for 2, lustig arguably 1 maybe a 2nd, brown for 1.

Its Bitton and Gordon that need to really be asked questions of. Make all the great saves you want, shouldn't be getting beat at near post like that. Should have also held one of the shots late on as well. Suspect.

Brown was * diabolical, think time has come for him to start taking a back seat and have armstrong and ntcham in the middle of the park

 

First observation was that plastic pitch didn't do us any favours.
And Like I said before Astana were unbeaten in their last thirteen
European matches at home, they are nobody's push overs.
Second observation is it dozen't do to have two midfielders playing
at centre back.

People saying reality check are being ridiculous , over the 2 legs we were by far the better team and apart from a dodgy 25 minutes or so , we played quite well tonight. We have also qualified for the champions league missing dembele,boyata and Roberts who will join again soon. Well said Brendan. In this CL qualifying campaign we have used midfielders in defence, RB's in defence, LB's in defence, kids, and no strikers as well at points. We have still come through, scoring 8 goals in the play off round.

As bad as it was for 20 minutes tonight we pretty much controlled this tie for the other 160 minutes.

 

Let's not forget we had a barra full of chances too! Should have been up by at least 2 by HT.
