Completed the first two but didn't buy brotherhood as it looked very similiar to the 2nd and I wanted to play something different, now i'm wondering whether to go out and buy the last two.

They are worth giving a shot man, Brotherhood has alot of new features since AC2. It also has a much larger map and you can even use horses. That plus you can expect the usual immersive gameplay and a solid narrative.

Got the first two and haven't completed either. Find them unbelievably boring.

The first one isn't great at all. You are spot on there.

But honestly... Two, Brotherhood and revelations are nothing short of magnificent.

Got the first one free with revelations and for me it's one of the most frustrating games I've ever played. Still finished it but.

Yeah it's not great. But at least provided the platform for the other 3! :)

really didnt want a Yank Revolution setting. I mean New York at the time had a population smaller than Glenrothes ffs. Plus it's not exactly a sprawling city like Rome or Istanbul. Would have been better off in Russian or French Revolution

Thats the Civil War not the Revolution. The Revolution was Brits, Loyalists and some natives against Seperatists backed by the French and some natives. The protagonist of AC3 will be an indigenous American.

I thought this too, but cmon, this is AC!
They could make a good game from Coatbridge.
