I would find it hard to dance around with joy if a hun scored for Scotland

 

During the international periods all hate for rangers players go out the window and i would cheers for them 100%

 

Yes I have to agree the English press are very unreasonable, they build up the national team then berrate them when they under achieve. The big problem these days though is that the Premiership is so full of overseas players and it is going to be more and more difficult for England to achieve what we feel they should. The truth is that the Premiership Clubs dont give a toss about home grown talant and the long term effect that its absence has on the England team, it is frustrating and very sad.

It is the same with supporters you are more likely to find Hull City and Bristol Rovers fans supporting England at games than those of Arsenal , Liverpool and Man U etc Personally I love my International football and always enjoy the weeks that are set aside for it.

 

this thread and 2 or 3 polls have consistently shown that we tend to remember the scottish celtic fans who dont support Scotland because they stand out but they are a small minority.

 

I agree, as I have said on previous occasions when this subject has been raised, Aiden was badly advised and as such will probably never grace a major tournament, he would probably have been at South Africa 2010 had he gone with his true country, Scotland, his loss and frustratingly, Scotlands also, just because someone stuck their nose in.

 

Republic of Ireland supporter ill never support the north because of the treatment neil lennon got and im sure paddy McCourt will get!, in my opinion it doesnt exist its 1 country Ireland thats the way it was and in my opinion should still be, i get stick from a few of my huns mates at uni from the north but ive never said to them im from the republic either i simply just state im Irish, .....anywho off topic a bit there lads EIRE ABU

 

was watching ireland v scotland and was supporting ireland the in the into 2nd half decided to support scotland just at that point the ball broke to ferguson at the edge of the box and he shot just over.... i could never be happy watching ferguson scoring against ireland and i could be happy watching mcgeady scoring against scotland.

I find the question irrelevant! I can't stand the Scotland international team, who hate my culture and as recently as 5 years ago jeered Joos at Hampden! I also detest the ROI who placate all that "uncle tim" nonsense!! Banned for jeering a hun!

Celtic are my only team. They represent me and my culture, both Scottish and Irish!

 

I feel exactly the same way m8 .. even though im from the north i would never associate myself as been northern irish. Im Irish .. nothing else. I dont support the northern ireland football team because this is one island. The republic is my national team.

On the thread topic ... its always good to see the celtic lads do well for scotland.

Celtic's all that matters to me really, have never been ragin if Ireland lost to tell ya the truth!

I do not and could not support Northern Ireland for 2 primary reasons (there are more):

1. I never believed Northern Ireland as a state has a legitimate right to exist and I never will.
2. The IFA is a sectarian organisation, so it would be quite daft for me to give my backing to the team that represents them.

I support the Republic of Ireland and being a Celt, I also look out for Scotland and Wales.

 

Scotland. Like to see ireland and sweden do well. I liked to watch larsson after celtic too.

 

Scotland number 1 thats where i was born. always look out for the Ireland result tho.

 

So Eamonn, can you explain your affinity to the ROI? An organisation who does not accept your view of nationality and most of it supporters will rush to sign a condolence book when a misplaced bomb tragically kills an english citizen, yet could not give a fukk when a foreign army indiscriminately shoots dead their fellow citizen!!!??

 

Scotland, as my dad is from Drumchapel, and brought me up to support them adn Celtic.
Dont really care about the Canadian national team

His desire was to always play for them though. His brothers not bad either.
If I made it and Scotland came calling i think I'd go for them instead of Canada.

And * we dont even have a professional league. It's merged with the states, and theres only three * Canadian teams! I know quite a few great players who, if there was decent clubs set up, would have been taken and made the NT better, and perhaps gotten somewhere. But our NT is made up from players who couldve been run over from my brothers team from a few years back. He played for the Vancouver Whitecaps youth team, and that was another great team, but it gets you nowhere cause its a * little club.
