    my grandparents where irish but I follow scotland although still have an infinity with ireland but if i was a sports star for instance id choose whichever at the time

    That used to be the case but not as much these days, Scotland supporters are more likely to come from the ranks of the provincial clubs rather than Rangers, for some reason quite a few Scots Rangers fans are hooked up to England.

    You're right there. Teams like Aberdeen supply a lot of support and up here in the North of Scotland (Inverness and up), you have a lot of guys who simply follow Scotland. On international days, there are thousands who stream down to Hampden, or abroad.

    Agree with u m8 . . . Lot of pish - u cant choose ur nationality. I'm Scottish although my grandads family are irish and i have an irish name (first, middle n last) thats where it stops! To me Aiden Mcgeady * us all when he chose to play for a country he's probably never visited untill recently! I still love him tho cos i can move on from things that don't really involve me or that i can't have an effect on . . .

    Huge rant over lol and to sum it up - love scotland and like to see Ireland do well cos of the connection between them and Celtic but dont care 2 much if they get beat (Mcgeady plays well, i'm happy lol)

    England cus from England lol but I always look the ROI score and watch there games when poss.

    Couldnt care less about Wales / NI or Scotland for that matter...

    IMO international matches are rubbish!

    Would rather watch a Celtic re-run game against the Huns or European games

    Being Irish I support Ireland internationally. I always like to see Scotland do well and Wales also and support them in any game other then against Ireland.
    Plus anybody who is playing against England and the huns/6 counties.

    I have a soft spot for all the home nations and Ireland to be honest.

    I dont share the hatred of the others that many do.

    Born in England but Mums from Johnstone and Dads from Dundee ive always followed Scotland and always will do, i look out for ROI results as i always like to see them do well! Cant support England, the tabloids down here are shocking and they are the most overated team in the world!
