    Would say Barcelona, I originally liked them better with Rivaldo being my favourite player from about 1998 on and then since about 2005 they've been the best team to watch around. Also as mentioned their similarity to us and we get on really well with their fans. After the Last 16 game there in 2008, their polis were lined up at the exit applauding our fans.

    My da went to Madrid for the game in 1980, wore an Atletico top to the game and where the Celtic fans were the Madrid fans were behind behind a metal fence where they poked Celtic fans with flag poles, spat and tried to pish on them :56: probably shouldnt have wore that top to the game.

    Wasn't there but I've heard about that loads of times as well. I remember the camera panning to the Celtic end and seeing loads of Catalan flags while the Nou Camp was dotted with tricolours.

    I wish the 'Madristas' on here were familiar with the treacherous past of Real Madrid and Franco. I don't have the time to unearth links like I did before when we had this discussion, but Barcelona players in the past under his regime were threatened with death if they even dared of scoring against Madrid. Their sordid history makes it hard for me to understand why a sane, logical person would chose a hateful legacy such as theirs.
