As said earlier, Levein wont do a compensation package as he doesnt have a replacement for Zaluska yet

So we should pay over the odds to get a player that we are getting for free anyways in a couple of months? That be great business from us

Levein wouldnt agree unless its ridiculous because he's chasing a european spot

Mark Brown is just as good as Zaluska tbh, drop Boruc for him. He did a good job when Boruc was out injured

If we could get the old Artur back I would never sell him. However, if he is never coming back them I would like to make sure we dont end up having to sell him for 3 or 4 million after him being a clown for a season when we might have got 10 million last summer. He is a bomb scare right now and his value must have halved.

What we should do now is drop him for 4 or 5 weeks. Either play Brown (who has never spectacularly * up) or give DU Brown in return for getting Zaluska early (we did something like this with Deeks). We then have to decide in the summer what he will be like long term. Personally I think he has always been a bit mental and will remain a risk long term so I would be inclined to take a big bid in the summer.

I think if we got Zaluska in now would be the right solution, although i agree he's no where near boruc' class when in top form. Surely 200k would get him ere now.

Give arthur a month off, make sure he sorts out his weight and get his head right and hopefully he'll be flying in a couple of months.

He deserves the critiscisim but i think we should stand by the big man. A lot of players run off as soon as they have clubs from bigger leagues coming in especially clubs who could pay him at least double what he gets here. He loves the club and he loves us, so lets so show him the loyalty he has showed us at least until the end of the season when we can decide whats best for the club and arthur. And im sure by then he will have ironed out the problems

voted sell by accident, meant keep

I think most reckon Z is considerably better than Brown. We paid up a couple of 100 grand to get Deeks early so its possible. In fact, instead of a fee we could give them Brown on loan till the summer. Dont get me wrong though. I could live with Brown who IMO is criticised for next to nothing. Artur because of his cult is near bullet proofed. He isnt getting the same treatment as Naylor who has had a similar sudden form collapse in the last year.

Thing is no really big club has ever made a bid. I think the reason is he is not quite as good (even on form) as many think. He is dire with crosses for a start and that is an important core skill for goalies. Top scouts will have no problem spotting the total flapping panic that he has with simple crosses and corners. Thats a huge flaw.

Strachan already asked for this, Levein said no. He could ask again but I reckon Levein isnt going to budge and the club wont overrule him as he is also the director of football.

Getting Zaluska now a non runner if you ask me, complete waste of time even discussing it.

Brown was the best keeper, statistically, outside the OF when we got him. If Zaluska is better, its only arguable. Brown didnt make any mistakes when he played this season, kept clean sheets, no doubt he could step in and do a solid job for us.

Brown is used to playing for Celtic, Zaluska would need time to get upto speed with life at Celtic as most players have needed time to settle here.

You read the article someone posted earlier? GS is looking to the goalkeeping coaches to consulate with the player. Should give it a read :50:

Brown was an excellent keeper with ICT and he's done a job with us when required. Get him in for a couple of games whilst Boruc sorts his head out and gets some much-needed help.

I think Strachan has tried to manage the situation well, he publicly supported Boruc after the press attacks on his private life, which I'm sure would have given Artur some confidence.
I think that some more action is required now however.

Think he has made 3 or 4 too many howlers this season. Time to cash in. This is a business after all.

Did Ac Milan not make a bid but celtic were looking for more, plus he said it would take a really top club for him to leave us.
Could i ask you what previous Celtic keeper would you rate better than boruc? And where are we going to find a keeper half as good as him especially with our resources. We have a top class goalie who has had a poor season, lets at least give him until the end of the season to turn things around and if he doesnt turn things around then fair enough

How is Brown an accident waiting to happen? What he done wrong exactly? NOTHING so this reputation that some people give him is completely ridiculous.

Tbf Brown hasn't made any costly mistakes for us yet. He's been very dependable when he's came in to the team.

I wouldnt think so, we are leading the league in spite of Boruc's crap form at the moment, arent we?
