The last few games he has started, he looks to have stepped up a notch.

Starting to settle well I think also, his set pieces have always been quality but we look more and more dangerous as time goes on as players probably realise the consistency of where the ball is going and attacking them better. I imagine he will go on to score freekicks as well if we ever get any.

From open play hes starting to look more natural around the box, when he was starting like 2 months ago he was struggling I think in those areas on how to move and get involved which is probably just cause he never played that role before or was used to playing deeper for a more defensive team. He also likely never had a clue how we play and how people move about around him.

He definitely has the quality to be a good attacking player though as he strikes a ball superbly has great passing and vision and is clever on the ball. So you wouldn't be shocked at him becoming someone who scored 15-20 a season soon either.

You never really think of it but it does take most of our previous attacking midfielders time to settle Armstrong, Christie, O'Riley all became good goalscorers probably getting you 15-20 a season but none just came in doing it, they all took about 2 years.

Last two starts he's been far busier in games and looks to have the bit between his teeth now. Hopefully keeps it up as his quality on the ball and at set pieces is evident.

Hes settling a bit now. Definitely improving. Won't see the true him until after pre season.

Pre season isn't just about training hard and learning tactics, it takes them away places together as a group to bond. Then they fight for each other, and feel totally comfortable and only then do they perform the best.

Either that or his tooth might be sore aswel. Pesky * dentists out there again :fear:

No question the quality of his set piece delivery particularly his in swinging corners is top quality and no coincidence that we have started to become considerably more dangerous as a result. His overall performance on Sunday was very good again I though and he really seems to be finding his form the last few games.

Shock it may be taking some time for a young player to settle!

Lots to come I'm sure. But he needs time.

No worries over this guy, think at times the criticism has been unfair, young guy he's still adapting to our game.

Supporters can be reactionary and fickle, i do it myself if a player has a bad game.

Aye he's looking a proper player for me and agree he's starting to suit the role..

For us and Belgium I watched him go sprinting way to early and vacating the midfield, no timing any runs and then kinda doing nothing. Almost in the way or hugging the byline, offering fuckall to the build up..

Now almost every game he's picking up lovely spaces to deliver the ball and making perfect runs in to the box to get on the end of things..

    So much more to come..

He’ll have a breakout year next season. O’Reilly/Kuhn type season

His champions league stats are good, and he'll only improve. Remember that is also took Bernardo months to be a consistent starter.

Arne Engels has opened up for the first time on the shocking incident when he was struck by a coin in the match between Rangers and Celtic on January 2.

The record Celtic transfer signing was hit with a coin hurled from the stands in the defeat at Ibrox earlier this month.

Engels fell to the ground after being struck before being checked over by referee John Beaton and playing on for the final few minutes of the 3-0 defeat.

Beaton handed a coin over to a security officer with the object then bagged by a policeman as evidence with investigations ongoing into the matter.

Now, Engels has broken his silence on the incident.

He said: "I'm good. At the beginning, it was a bit sore but at the end it was okay.

"It's not really nice to experience things like that. You just want to play your game and enjoy your football, it was not really enjoyable that night.

"It was not a really nice incident."

Pushed on how he recovered to continue playing after the incident, he added: "You always need to switch on, you always need to think on the next situation and that is what everybody is telling you. I think that's what I did.

In the end, you can always look back on it and think, 'Yeah, maybe it was not really nice' or this or that.

"Yet, you need to perform. I think it was the last ten minutes or something and you still need to play in a high-level game, you still need to do it."

Engels explained he was aware of similar incidents in world football and has been subject to beer lobbed from stands but was left stunned after being hit with the coin at Ibrox.

"Sometimes you see things like that or beer spilling all over you but not really throwing things on top of your head," he said.

"It has never nice or good to happen in a football stadium.

"I think you guys never experienced something like it somebody will throw coins or something on your head during your work.

" It is never nice to see that happen or experience it but in the end, you need to go through."

A Celtic statement on the incidents read: "We understand that Police Scotland are currently investigating two separate incidents.

“The repeated targeting of our players and staff with missiles is quite appalling and completely unacceptable."

And Rangers added: “Rangers FC condemns this incident in the strongest possible terms.

“The club can confirm it will assist Police Scotland with their investigation.”

I could see that happening for sure given he would be going into next season after having a full pre-season with us and should be well settled in by the summer.

He's doing the right thing. Dropping back a bit, getting on the ball and playing simple passes. He needs to make sure he's constantly on the ball and involved for the full 90 mins. I feel that's what he's been doing and it's been really beneficial.
