Played 2 or 3 of his best games for us recently. Comes on yesterday after being unwell and we were already getting pumped and some fans turn on him?? Mind boggling stuff

He must have been really unwell as these are the games he was signed for. 17m sat on the bench between him and Trusty. They need a proper run to settle, which Engels had shown past couple of games.

 

£26m when you throw in Adam Idah.

 

Unpopular but vastly over paid for Idah and Engels

 

I would be surprised if we don't see both starting this weekend. Engels in fairness was good in the past couple of games and it does sound like he only was on the bench yesterday because he was sick.

 

Aye 20 years ago maybe. That's the market and the way the world is now. You've got reserve team players in England going for more on a regular basis.

 

Ben doak is one example. Barely kicked a ball for Liverpool yet knocking bids back of £15m and talk of £30m being accepted. Aye he's fast, with potential but come on.. thats silly for an untested teenager.

 

I wanted us to maybe try test their resolve for quansah seeing as he isn’t playing now much under slot but going by the doak fee they’ll want just as much for him

 

Undoubtedly for Idah but I don't think for Engels.

21 year olds are sold in England for more than 10m who have hardly played a game of football in a top league. If we are aiming to find elite young talent, 10m is a speculative punt at champions league level. We are buying potential and I can see there is potential there.

 

slow down ,how do you expect police scotland to work so fast ,probably still trying to establish whether engels was provoking him or not

 

Engels has played regularly for Belgium since joining us. We could sell tomorrow for a profit based on that alone.

Think the strength in depth of Belgium’s midfield, yet he gets a game for them shows we paid the right fee for him

 

Only time will tell. I think the 2 of them will play a big part in the 2nd half of the season. Midfielders like Hatate and McGregor have been woeful loads and can’t be far off getting dropped. Same with Kyogo.

Can't wait to see how he develops to be honest. Has a bit of everything in his game, just needs to fine tune it.
