Wouldn't have said he was MOTM, but yeah a much much better performance from him today.

Definitely coming onto a game. Anyone with eyes can see he's a decent player. I thought he'd been a bit off previously but shown some real quality again last couple games. It's difficult to pick the midfield for Thurs but I'd have no problem with him starting now, whereas a couple of weeks a go I'd have concerns.

That’s the player we want to see week in week out. Brilliant today

Matt O'Riley said recently the pressure that comes with playing for us is indescribable so I can that being applied here, was unreal today.

Much more like the player who played those 1st couple of games when he signed.

Ball in for kyogo's 2nd goal was fantastic

Probably the best he’s played since he joined. Very impressive.

Really coming on to his game.

I'm reminded of Bernardo this exact time last season.

Up and down, hit and miss, but could see he had something in his game.

Gets a run of a couple games leading to the new year's game against that lot, bosses it and confirms his need to be with us the next season.

Difference here, Engels is ours and his appearing and performing better than Bernardo was last Season.

Expect the ups and downs from someone so young and just moved here.
Big things next season with him and Bernardo bossing the side with McGregor me thinks.

Just needed to play and find his confidence, his quality was always there to see and now hopefully can put in the consistency.

He's just found his groove and you can see he hasn't got that pressure on his shoulders. Bouncing around the pitch , goal threat , box to box .

His corners are good as well, great pace and into the right areas.

He was good against Motherwell, even better today. I’ll go back to it, but him not having a pre-season with us was huge. He will be outstanding next season. He is still getting used to the way we play. Rodgers leaving him out to let him see how we play from the sidelines is just top quality management, and it’s really looking like it’s paid off, because the last two games is as good as we’ve seen from him. The delivery he has is absolutely top notch.

He had the bit between his teeth today, harried and chased lost causes.

That type of attitude will take him places.

I like the way he drifted over to the right, the way MOR used to. Very different kind of player but his delivery is so dangerous and his link up with Kuhn looks like it has the potential to be devastating.

That pass man. You don't even need to ask what one, because you know. If only kyogo hit it instead of trying to control it. Would have been the pass and goal of the decade.
