He has a lot to learn, especially defensively.

Shouldn't be starting until he can show something from the bench.

Not particularly impressive, and looked pretty leggy earlier on.

Would like to see Bernardo and McCowan get some game time in the coming weeks. Engels has talent, but so do the other two.

We have 5 great options in the middle of the park and engels is at the bottom of the pecking order currently for me

Should have been subbed a bit earlier. Not his best game but there were no bad performances tonight

Was definitely better in the 2nd half but agree with above, should need to prove himself from the bench now.

He shouldn't start the next 2 games, talented player but out of form. No reason McCowan/Bernardo don't start the next game.

    Is he quick..

I could've swore he looked mobile/athletic in his first few games but he looks quite slow and lethargic now. The way he reacts to stuff at the minute is mental as I was sure he was energetic as *..

Forgot he was on at one stage. Needs a wee spell out the team to earn his place. Boy has ability, but since that Dortmund game his head has went down.

He was better than he was in Dortmund but that was never going to be difficult.

He looks frustrated with his own performances just now for me.

Not been at it last few games. But Calmac has been even worse but avoids the criticism as he’s a legend here and captain. Both will find their form again soon though. It’s only been last 3/4 games and they were both class before that. It’s football it happens.

Looks a bit lost and unsettled. Don't think there is a panic now.. it's the games coming up now where he hopefully show his class (home v Leipzig, brugge)

Think the couple of international breaks and the pressure has definitely fatigued him physically and mentally.

Still think he’ll be class but at the end of the day that’s why we have Bernardo & McCowan ready to step in, a few games out will do him good.

Not long 21 either, he’s never going to be consistent at this stage and plenty to learn yet.

McGregor was far better than Engels tonight. I actually think that was one of his best defensive performances in the CL tonight.

He is slow, cumbersome and shows zero defensive nous whatsoever.

Moves about a lot without actually doing anything. Quite a disgusting performance really, him and his pal beside him....

Thought he was poor. His corners were * too. Not anywhere near writing him off or anything though. He’s a young guy. I was never expecting him to come in and hit the ground running. He’s having a bit of a dip in form. Would rather see Bernardo or McCowan ahead of him for a couple of games.

He’s young and still settling in.

No doubt at all, the Dortmund game properly knocked his confidence. Rather than trusting himself at the moment, he’s second guessing himself and it’s making him look a bit lethargic and clumsy.

Not worried about him though, he’s showing flashes and he’ll come good.

Each to their own. I thought he was poor. Felt he gave it away far too much first hour.
