I thought he was fine, not as good as Hatate or McGregor who both had an excellent game, but still helped us up front.

Definitely think his price tag is going against him, any other player and this thread doesn't get bumped.

IF he were to move, I hope we've scouted a serious set piece specialist as that's what we're missing. But I will stand by him if he continues to want to be here for another year.

He always seems to be under pressure when he has the ball or when he receives it . Hatate can play the game at a walking pace at times and just pops the ball about like a training game. Coming deep, wide , higher up. Always seems to have time . Not sure why but Engels never seems to have that time , doesn't move and position himself in the same way and gets dragged in to battles alot , often running backwards and just about getting a pass off under pressure. It doesn't look easy for him out there lately. McGregor could have a cigar out at times today , but Arne looks like he's blowing constantly and in a real slog .

We could always bring Barry Robson out of retirement, he was a master at set pieces. :giggle1:
But seriously, that's a good point you have raised. I'll bear it on mind.

We were spoiled with him and Naka back then. Just fed up of watching us waste every direct free kick and most corners.:56:

Dissapointing performance today, Reo and Calmac stole the show, I do wonder if he really wants to be here.

Was it his long ranger for Kuhn's first to put Maeda away on the left?

He was finding loads of space today in good areas..

He was better today, far more involved, and put in some beauties of corners.

Needs to keep this up now and end the season with a bang.

Yeah and a lovely little take and shimmy inside before he sprayed it.

Yeah was a great ball that and was him.
Long balls/raking diagonal was a big part of his game if you watch his stuff for Augsburg on YT , a lot of long passes with great accuracy and penetration, almost a bit of a QB for them. Obviously a bit of a different game here when we have possession high up the pitch against low blocks most weeks but he's certainly got that in his locker.

I’m buzzing to see him next season with the experience he’s already gained and a full pre-season under his belt now he’s fully integrated.

Easy to forget he’s a very young lad because of his physical size and his fee, he’s got millions of development in him.

Just saw the highlights. That turn and pass to set Maeda away leading to the second was class.

Awesome ball for Maeda to tee up Khun for his first, pure quality.
