    So even if Israel can be stopped, the Palestinians will still have to live under oppression?

    The post I quoted put Hamas up there with Al-Qaeda - I was pointing out they're not at that level, but neither are they too bothered about the human rights of ordinary Palestinians.

    The premise of the post you quoted was that Hamas " wanted to kill everything Western" your reply didn't address or answer this in any way.

    If you read the post in question, he is suggesting that Hamas are as bad as Al-Qaeda - I was trying to get over the point that this is an exaggeration, but nonetheless they are far from being saints. I think the bit about Hamas wanting to kill all Westerners was phrased more as a question from Auldbertie (he did start his sentence with the word "do", even if he didn't use a question mark).

    The answer to that is no.

    I am in no way suggesting you cannot air your views on Hamas or your views on their treatment of Palestianians on this forum. I just think you crowbarred it into this thread when they would have probably have been better in another thread and if you were determined to put them into this thread I still fail to see the relevance of piggybacking onto the post you quoted. It would have been more logical to just let them stand alone. TBH that would have probably done you more favours as well as the original post was dismissed pretty quickly by most people on the forum.
