Isnt everyone wary of any new manager or player that comes in ,i am and on that all i can say is Lennon will be treated as any other manager in my book ,give him time to produce his own team and how they play and then judgement can be passed ,i have never judged someone on something they have yet to do so time will tell .

Yes I wanted Lennon as manager!
I think he will bring the fight back into Celtic Park, and make sure the players know what it means to play for Celtic!

Lenny has spoke very well so far, if he can persuade some decent quality players to sign on the dotted line things could be looking good..........:50:

    I voted no.

There are still good managers whom in my opinion would have come to Celtic and the rest of football would have taken notice[in the UK at least]. Lenny is already hinting about bringing in the likes of Bellamy and Keane so the money is there and I think it always has been. That's why I'm so disalusioned with DD.:38:

I have renewed my season card and I'm looking forward to the new season. I've been impressed by what Lenny has had to say so far, he talks a good game.....let's see if he can REALLY walk the walk. Good luck to him and I hope he proves me wrong.

PS. Does anyone know a single Hun who is even remotely worried by this appointment? I know at least two who were praying for it:47:

If it wasn't for the Ross County game they would be worried. Lenny isn't the first manager to have been embarrassed in the SC, we seem to have a sort of voodoo curse in that Cup. Lenny knows the league inside out. He knows what required to win the league and he'll set it up so. Rangers have a manager who is very one dimensional, and relied heavily on Boyd who seems for the off. They can't replace him. I really feel Lennon will be a complete success. Thats just my opinion of course.

I think the likes of a Mark Hughes or Martin Jol or managers of that standard would not or should not be ever out of Celtic's reach. I'm not saying I wanted either of these two as manager but they are the TYPE of manager we should be attracting at least!

As for the Huns? I don't care what they think either but I do look for a reaction from them. When we appointed MON for example they knew they were gonna be second best.

I suppose i have concerns about Lennon's experience. Will he know what substitution to make when we are losing away from home etc? Will he change things quickly that aren't working? Will he recognise things that aren't working? I suppose we won't find out until the end of the season. Its a gamble appointing him but football is all about gambles and thats what makes it exciting. There are more plus points to Lenny's appointment than there are negative, lets just hope the negative side won't have a huge effect.
As Lenny said himself he will need experience for games such as away in the champions league as he never experienced much success on the road for Celtic

C'mon Lenny and prove these doubts wrong - you have my 100% backing now you have been appointed.

Incidentally was anyone else bemused and annoyed at John Reid's 'downhill' comment yesterday? What was he on about?

for me, and i don't mind saying, Neil Lennon will not win the league, he will play the same players as he has over the last 8 games, now without Keane. and the Dundee utd, rangers, will not go away, we are not a very skill full side and lack in all departments, so stop kidding yer selfs on, we are pish poor, and have to start at the bottom of the ladder, some of the friendlies, we have to play will expose us that i have no doubt, so to start me of on a rant i will say we might win one game of friendlies before the season starts. with the players we have just now. hope he proves me wrong but a doubt that.

Balls they were outspending us and had Advocaat as manager they still thought they would be on top and thought we were stupid for not appointing Hiddink.

We were * ourselves big time when Paul Le Guen agreed to be their manager... see how that works out?

Don't care what the scum thinks Neil will come up trumps.

Bold: Lenny noticed that Ngeumo was playing mince and hooked him after 41 mins and the team benefited from that so there's yer nswer to that .......
