Said it before and I'll say it again, The 'Best league in the world' will be dead in 10 years time, hopefully that will signal the Billionaire Bandits to get tae and we will be back to tradition and history rather than "show me the money!"

Edit. Ajax may have done nothing spectacular for years but they are still bigger than Man City and PSG and those two haven't exactly eclipsed them in Europe either with all their money

When I watch non Celtic games, I decide who I want to win depending on if I like players in certain teams, or dislike players in certain teams, I don't have any affinity to anyone but Celtic really other than Man Utd due to the Scottish manager thing. I've wanted Barca over Madrid for several years due to despising Jose Mourinho but next season I'll want Madrid because I also despise Neymar and next season all the Neymar fanfare will be unbearable, and I love Carlo Ancelotti.

So I would say I've grown into more of a Celtic fan than a football over the years as I care less and less about other teams whilst remaining a Celtic fan. I still love to watch good football, but there are so many * in the game these days I find it hard to enjoy watching someone like Neymar launch himself into the air when someone comes within a few yards, regardless of any skill he may or may not have.

They are still one of the biggest if not the biggest teams in Holland which is a solid enough league. The way people were talking about them though was asif they are small potatoes and would-be group of death whipping boys. They finished above Man City which was nice :bbpd:

I voted for football fan because it's logically impossible to be just a Celtic fan in the context of the question because without football in itself as a sport, there would be no Celtic Football Club. Pretty obvious statement, unless you just like Celtic because of the iconic strip design or something.

I went for football fan. Even if i'm watching a game with two teams I couldn't care less about, I still get annoyed when players do something daft. It shouldn't matter to me at all, but I still rage at the tele. The worst one is when a player doesn't beat the first man with a cross, especially when it's a deadball situation. Or when a player tries to put in a cross, with the oppositon player standing about a foot away from him.

Not at all, the question was do you get excited only when you watch Celtic or when you watch other games such as from the English leagues as well. Not do you like celtic or do you like football.

I get excited about football in general, love watching it. I'm a football fan

The excitement of watching Celtic in the Champions League or previously in Glasgow Derby's is unrivaled though.

I am a Celtic fan. I enjoy watching any kind of football though. Sometimes its a relief to watch a game where Im not passionately involved. I only support Celtic though, I don't agree with all this supporting an English team just for the sake of it. I like watching the EPL, I don't support a team, but I hate and despise Liverpool. That's about it.

I am not a big football fan, but I do consider myself to be a big Celtic fan. I think a for lot of people who support Celtic it is about more than watching 22 guys runnning after a ball on a pitch.

Tommy Burns - "What these players have to realise, is that when you put on the Celtic jersey you're not playing for a football team, you're playing for a community and a cause"

I hate when someone asks "who's your English team"

No English team gives a toss about us, so why would I care about them. Like yourself, I don't mind watching the EPL, but I really couldn't care less who wins or loses.

Football Fan, I`ll watch any games that are on TV or through other methods. However, I can watch the non-Celtic games without the stress of wanting a certain side to win.

The question wasn't worded in such a way, perhaps it should have been clearer.

Man City were founded in 1880 and have always had a decent support they're not just a 'plastic' club. Same with Chelsea who again were a decent club but have benefited incredibly from Abramovich's rubles.

Football successes come and go so it's not fair to castigate clubs just because they've got money and hit a bit of success. Teams like St. Ettienne, Ujpest Dozsa, Notts Forrest etc. used to be top of their game now they're mediocre, that's just football.

Look at Man Citys rivals though United they all started off on a level playing field and from there Man Utd created a team over many years that would become the best in their country and one of the best in the world. Most of their money came from the success they had on the field and their mass global appeal. It just took some foreigner with money to burn to throw that at Man City to bridge the gap that Man Utd worked so hard over many years to build. Just my opinion. It sounds like jealousy on my behalf but I would hate if we had unlimited funds I feel it rips the soul out of the club. I agree that Man City always were a big club but they got nothing on us we have a world wide appeal and following that doesnt just come because we have the best players and are in the right end of"the best league in the world".
