    There are only two teams I would call myself a "fan" of; my local club and my national team. Nothing ever changes there. But then I have short lasting love affairs with other clubs too - depending on managers, players and "results vs. budget". So I would call myself a football fan, though I rarely watch matches where I really don't care who wins.

    Right now I'm following Celtic because it's exciting with a Norwegian manager abroad - one I was very impressed by in the Norwegian league, and was hoping would do well with Celtic. Having Johansen as a central player also helps my interest.

    But just so we are very clear: This Celtic-thing is just a fling.

    I'd say I used to be both big time, watched anything. Now though, I still watch a lot of games (*, I pay enough for it) but it's not the same, I don't get excitement out of most normal games, usually I'll watch a Scottish game over an English one. Can't mind the last time i watched motd or football league show. Watched queens park and Berwick on alba over city/Newcastle not long ago and was just flicking over as I had bet city..

    I'd say for the most part I've always been the same for Celtic, as a kid on trains home, used to write match reports on games I was up for (even just telly ones) , never did get that dream job :54:

    I'd rather watch Celtic v Ross county than Arsenal Spurs. Football is boring to watch without being invested in one of the teams.

    I watched most matches that are on the tv , at least three of four a week. Hoever , i only get truly excited about watching a match when it's celtic . I would rather watch celtic play against motherwell than watch the manchester derby for example . The only times i get truly excited about a football match on tv is Celtic or Classico .

    Soccer is a really * sport tbh both Codes of GAA and Rugby are miles better to watch IMO

    How is it bollocks I didn't say it was fact just my opinion in saying that my emotional connection with Celtic is far greater than anything


    ( nobody can seriously argue an average game of football is better then an average game of hurling)

    As time goes by I'm becoming more and more of a Celtic fan and less and less of a football fan. I used to watch pretty much any football, nowadays it's mainly Celtic, I can't even be bothered with the Champions League most of the time.

    I personally am very much a Celtic fan. Outside the World Cup, Euro's and Champions League I watch little to no football that doesn't involve Celtic.
