after the old firm game at new year the confidence the team has taken from it has been amazing.looking at the way we are playing just now do you think we are witnessing what could be a very special celtic team full of passing, moving and finishing or am i maybe jumping the gun a tad and its actually the rest of the teams are pish.there was 1 part of the game yesterday that sticks in my mind and it was the way sammy and hooper linked up and hooper cut it back for sammy only for boughera to get a toe on it and knock it away,i thought it was outstanding the speed of thought and movement,it totally ripped them open.whats your thoughts?

You could be right here last season if we were 2_1 down at ht with 10 men at ipox we would ov Been tanked:50:

tha only time we will find out if we have that special team we all want is when we play in europe....sadly rangers were sooooo PISH we cant tell much from the game other than our players great fighting spirit for the team.

In my time I haven't seen a Celtic team passing as impressively as now. The move between Hooper and Sammy was excellent considering they aren't a regular partnership.

We could very well be on the verge of something special and in my humble opinion this will be the most entertaining side we've seen for years..
I believe if we get a really good centre half and target man in the summer we will be a team to reckon with not only domestically but in Europe as well.HAIL HAIL. -
I'm still tentative but I agree the football and spirit on show yesterday was as good as i have seen Celtic play in years. It's a young team but the confidence and link play is a joy to watch.

I honestly believe we are if we manage to hold onto our key players.

Idioteque I’ll laugh until my head comes off
Its a hard one to call, it looks like we are playing well but have we really been tested since going out of Europe in the summer- I'm not so sure. Hopefully come the end of the season we will be in a better position to judge

there was never a real magic wand at the start of the season! and the new players came and took time to get kno each other and their way of playing. and now we have gelled into a fine looking team just now with one or 2 things needing added also.also lennon andth backroom staff must take full credit for this also. a rookie team are starting to shut up the dougters up. long may this continue.

I think it's still a bit early to say, we are certainly heading in the right direction but we need to keep as many players as possible injury free and in games we are only in the lead by one goal we need to keep pushing rather than sit back and get complacent. That's happened too many times for me this season however the last few games we seem to have go our act together. Can't fault the players or the manager.

I think we could be witnessing the birth of something special.
If this was the 1960s or something, then there would be cause for huge excitement. But in our era young teams don't stay together in the way they did in past times. Once any members of our young group of players start developing into something really special, there will be huge interest, and very tempting offers from rich clubs in other countries.
We have every reason for excitement and optimism, especially given the increasingly promising signs from our debut-year manager. But if we expect our team to look broadly similar in say four years time, we may be wide of the mark. -

There is definitely great team spirit. Last season the team would have collapsed from goint down to 10 but this team picked themselves up from that setback and dominated the game
-
The team is looking great if we had won yesterday the scum would have been crushed well done everyone involved

In my opinion our team has been playing the best football since 2004. Solid performance from the bhoys yesterday and we were very unlucky not to win. We absolutely dominated the game, can't wait to play them at Parkhead lets just hope we win :icon_mrgreen:

I think we are witnessing something pretty special - i just hope we don't become a feeder club for the EPL.
-
Good point m8 , also hope we manage to keep this squad a few seasons as they can only get better -
Compared to Mowbrays and Strachans teams we are very strong. I think O'neils team could be describes as "something special" but we are not at that level yet. If we hold on to our players and grow as a team we could become something special!
