I think they need to be better advised regarding there displays but there are a lot of * eejits out there we know we have our own as well.

Regardless if you agree or disagree with the politics side of things there are more tasteful ways things can be accomplished without tarnishing our club.

In the stadium and on match days however they are * fantastic. Single handedly bringing the thunder back to Parkhead.

Last game I was at a got told to stop singing off of a couple of eejits around us. Don't like being able to hear a pin drop at Paradise.

Let us ponder, the GB and their followers stay away, the crowd reduces in number by 5/600. Everyone else stays away and the crowd reduces in number by 35/40,000.
Who do the club want on their side ? To use an americanism "It's a no brainer"
Please, please, please, would all of you who congregate in section 111, just get back to supporting the team on the park. Make as much noise as you want whilst doing so, but keep your non football issues for some other time and place.
I and many others are becoming fed up watching and waiting for the next campaign against whatever issue the GB decide is important on any given day.
"We are Celtic supporters, faithful through and through, over and over we will follow you" I always thought that this referred to the team, am I wrong ?

think the green brigade were right to run towards the stewards when they were ejecting someone, the stewards are *, they are power hungry *, who want to pick on anyone,

they took my ticket off me on saturday before i got into the game, and i could of done with the green brigade being around at that moment. they thrived on picking on a defenceless 16 year old.

glad the green brigade did it to be honest

The worrying thing is some folk on here support the gb more than they do Celtic.

Thought it was the cops that took your ticket off you for being drunk and shouting at the Dundee Utd fans, not the stewards?

Most stewards are actually decent blokes just trying to earn an extra few quid, there are a few with an attitude problem but most are fine, if the person did something that deserves him being chucked out then the GB trying to intervene could cause a riot, they should just get on with supporting the team.

Negative fans, that just go to CP to moan, insult and shout at our own players, fans and everything associated with Celtic * me seriously off. Way worse than the CB will ever be.

I'm sure the stewards do a good job but when i was at Tynecastle a couple of weeks ago i was a bit shocked. A guy was waving the Starry Plough flag at half time and, instead of being asked if he could remove it, the steward just grabbed him, no warning or anything. Actions like that are going to provoke a reaction from fellow fans to support the guy.

This post pretty much sums up why I don't believe all these stories about stewards always being in the wrong.

You already said in another thread that you were underage and drunk. You were also walking through the away fans shouting (though you claim with provocation). Why should the GB come to your 'rescue'? And what exactly were they going to do? They're not above the law.

that's the difference between Scotland and other countries. in some countries the fans stick together. if a mad steward tries to touch a fan (not even sure if he's allowed to!), some guys stand together and let the steward know he better * off or they are gonna touch him.

nothing worse than a steward that thinks he's some kind of a police officer.

my ticket was taken off me by 3 people with illuminous jackets, i dont know if it was police or stewards, i was called a * i shouted dundee united are *, i was a little drunk, if i was with someone it would've been fine, i was defenseless and didn't know my rights because apparently i dont have to hand my ticket over.

i'm going by what my mates have said to me. i'm not saying the green brigade would come to my rescue but someone stepping in and helping definitley would have helped

So what you are actually saying is that you are an underage drunk hurling abuse at away fans. I think you should simply accept your mistake. I'm just glad that no-one else got involved trying to rescue you.

To be honest, the green brigade have every right to have a go at the stewards for kicking out someone singing along with there fellow fans, they can be a bit heavy handed at times but at the end of the day if their boss tells them to do something, they do it. Its their job.

obviously a lot of people dont know the status of a steward, celtic fc are, through the stewards, primarily responsible for the security and safety of everyone in the ground, the police are there as a back up.now celtic pay a huge bill for the police and if they can prove they can deal with the stewarding themselves the police bill drops.the situation that the GB are forcing on celtic fc is that more police are going to have to be used in that area, costing celtic fc more, and the police will not just throw you out,you will end up in a cell for the weekend and up in front of a judge on the monday morning,so have the GB thought about all the young sheep who blindly follow them who will end up wth a police record for breach of the peace,no,they are using people for their own ends, ill bet you wont see any of the organisers in the front line of any fighting, they will slink away,as all of these politicos do,to organise another day,and some poor boys are in a van on the way to london road police station,oh and i know this because i was a steward supervisor at celtic park for ten years, and a diehard tim before anyone accuses me of otherwise

Even if your for them or against them you cannot say the GB hide behind anyone or shirk away frm anything, that is just nonsense. Made-up nonsense at that.

I have not always agreed with everything they have done but I have no problem with the GB overall and they bring some much needed colour and atmosphere to Celtic Park.
