They are starting to get on my nerves , yesterday was an embarrassment people chasing steward down the stairs it was pathetic . There backing of the team in song is superb , but I feel there more interested in attention know than the football on the park .

I'll disagree with you on this one, they have the right to protest in my opinion. It was never going to pretty given the nature of the protest and peoples different feelings on it.

And yes these threads are getting tiresome.

The Green Brigade never met with the board at any stage, the issue was brought up by fans at the Q + A sessions, the Green Brigade have never had dialogue with the board on the Poppy issue as a group.

Supporting your team is never a crime, the Stewards have always been strict with the GB. Good on them for standing up for their own.

They are starting to think they are better than the non-members, its THEM who start the songs, its THEM who tell us what to sing and what to do, I kind of see their point in their own section but i've seen it happen at hampden aswell. I fully support the GB for what they do but they have to realise, they are the same as everyone in that stadium.

The part in bold couldn't be further off the mark.

I know a few on the lads in the GB personally and trust me they would love nothing more than other people to start off songs and get heavily involved.

They don't tell anyone what to sing or what to do, that's completely wrong.

I don't know how you get the idea they believe they are better than anyone else, they probably believe they create a better atmosphere than anyone else and that wouldn't be false. However, they don't look down on anyone who isn't singing, force anyone to sing or tell anyone what to do, I have no idea where you get that idea from.

I'm just telling you what my view is on them, once I heard someone try and start BOTOB and only a few singed along but none of the GB members were singing, they go and start another song which I can't remember what it is, then after that song they started BOTOB, the guy went raging and said how the * did they not sing with me they could clearly hear me.

agree. I think they are trying to live out their idea of what is traditionally Celtic views. They are living in the past. There is no future in all these stereotyped views on a range of subjects. Most of this belongs in the past. I blame some older people who have put these ideas into their daft young heads. TBH I cant take their self importance seriously. They know zilch and have experienced zilch and are just repeating old greivances and historical pish they have heard from older folk and drama queening as though they suffered themselves. Its like they are stealing someone else's past and wearing their clothes.

What annoys me is they think they are radical but its the same old stuff- old ideas rehashed by people with an easy life pretending they are suffering the struggles of previous generations. Its a kind of victimhood fantasy. Forget all that crap and look forward instead of wallowing in the past.

From what I heard, a guy in the group was walking down the stairs when stewards tried to grab him.

For a start, stewards have no right to touch anybody, that could go down as assault and secondly, if stewards done that to somebody you knew, would you just stand there and let them or would you rush down to assist your mate?

My * is it an embarrassment, what the support lacks nowadays is a bit of solidarity, a lad in the Lisbon Lions stand was thrown out and banned on Saturday because he stood up and the guy behind him ran to a steward/policeman, now that's * embarrassing :50:

I just wish that there was more honesty about the whole situation. The Green Brigade are not all of those who gather in section 111, in fact the GB make up a very small number of that area. What they are doing is using the numbers involved, who are in the main only there for the football and atmosphere generated, to highlight their own agenda. The problem is I'm still unclear what it is that they really want. All this posturing about our chairman and board, the poppy debate and whatever whim of the day that they invent, is annoying.
Please would the Green Brigade show yourself and not hide behind hundreds of passionate Celtic Supporters.

This is a strange one for me. I love the atmosphere they create, the colour they bring with their banners and the Passion they show for our club. I actually agree with most of their politics and their stance on the stewarding and policing at Parkhead. But as most people seem to feel is that I think they should leave the politcs at the door and not bring it to the game. They are bringing unwanted attention to us at a time when the hun media are just looking for an excuse to beat Celtic F.C. with a stick.

If they claim onlt ot be in existance to support our club then stick to supporting the club and leave the other stuff at the door. I think a singing section is defo what we need so people who want to enjoy singing and chanting etc... can do it without the harrasment of police and stewards and fellow Tims who want to sit in silence for 90 mins.
