To be fair in that hull game not only did it take a wonder strike from geovanni, but our strikers couldn't hit a barn door on that night, we could of put 5 past them!

 

Ok fair enough but, the Arsenal players aren't exactly built like tanks. I reckon if we push them around a bit they will stop playing, and if we push you's around a bit along with the atmosphere we will win.

you're right when you say they aren't built like tanks, I would describe them as made of glass. During mid season we normally have at least 6 potential first teamers injured, let alone 6 after 1 game this year.

and are you saying celtic have either the largest or second largest fanbase in the world? celtic have very good fanbases in the likes of America etc etc, much larger than arsenals there but its the likes of africa and asia where arsenal gain their support thanks to their exposure from the premier league.

Arsenal made £100m from TV and sponsorship to Celtic's £18m and £90m from Match Day income to Celtics £39m from Matchday income. Thats basically what seperates the clubs. Because Arsenal play in England they get more TV and sponsorship money and their tickets cost more.

Id say Celtic are bigger in Brand and Fanbase to, mate.

I do like the way you use your head and weigh things up (credit to you, you seem sound enough), unlike half the nobs on your forums who compare us to clubs the size of Hull and so on.

And the point Celtic fans make about being potential top 4 in the Premiership. We are not referring to our current side, of course not.

We are saying that with our Brand, facilities, reputation and earning power, the kind of team we could establish ourselves as down south could very well be top 4 and challenging for the title in 5 years.

Realistically (outside the often arrogant and deluded Premiership fan's view on reality) only 2-3 Premiership teams could really put an argument forward about being a bigger club than Celtic.

Because of the league we play in and are forever held back by, Wolves fans would probably consider themselves a bigger club. The ignorance I see when I read the odd Premiership club forum drives me mental, seriously.

The fact Celtic sell more Merchandise than Arsenal actually proves who is the bigger club. Even though Arsenal are in a country with 10 times the population of our country earn almost triple the money our club earns, spends almost triple on players wages than our club does and their League is broadcast worldwide, they also reach the latter stages of the Champions League each season which again is broadcast worldwide. YET Celtic earn more money than them from merchandise sales = Celtic have the bigger fanbase and are a bigger brand. Only Manchester Utd and Liverpool sell more merchandise than Celtic in the whole of Britain. Man Utd sell almost double and Liverpool the odd £1m or £2m more. If Celtic were in the EPL with more exposure we'd sell more than Liverpool easily to, I think Man Utd are the only club bigger than Celtic in Britain.

your figures from arsenal are correct and have been showing improvments at about 1-2 million a year.

mind you most of us arsenal fans are tight after having to pay over £1000 for a season ticket, and thats just the cheapest one!

Anyways I can't be bothered with this my clubs bigger than yours rubbish anymore, let the result tell us the story come next week.
