I'll always remember Davie Provan's free kick in the 1985 Scottish Cup Final. That was a peach.

nakamura. the anticipation in the crowd as he was stepping up to hit a free kick was unbelievable, and he always delivered. (plus that screamer v the huns)

Always loved him, as well. Not sure if my memory serves me well or not, but I recall him being an absolute * legend. Something tells me I may need to rewatch some of our games from back in the day...:56:

There's a video of him with the fans at the Nou Camp when we played Barca in the UEFA Cup in 2004 or something. I'll try and find it.

    EDIT - Found it

a tie between Van Hooijdonk (he was the reason I'd took interest in Celtic back then) and DiCanio for his pure brilliance on the pitch. Balde might be third I guess.

Gordon Strachan (really hope he doesn't become Hibs manager, not that that would change my feelings about him) and Vennegoor Of Hesselink, for that goal, the one time he sprinted full pelt to two foot Novo, and for singing the Fields Of Athenry when we won the league (thanks to his goal).

McGeady as well has to be mentioned. Can't be counted as one of the greats, but undoubtedly a supremely talented player.

He made Celtic worth watching while he was here, because when he had the ball at his feet you'd fancy him to beat any full back.

Possibly the best player to come through our youth team in the last 10-20 years.

Although i have only seen clips and read articles on him: Danny McGrain - I dont think people realise just how good a player he was.

From a player that i saw, i would say Jackie McNamara :50:

artur boruc , hated the huns woth a passion . knew what this club was all about , believed we were meant to win the league every year, wouldnt accept any less. if only we had a few more with that mentality in the squad now .

also , neil lennon , chris sutton , and alan thompson , thommo was such a dependable player , and always produced the goods when it mattered.:celt_2:
