Nakamura - He was pure class. Dedicated to the game.

Lambert - Pure professional. Done everything right.

Thompson - Some of his performances against Rangers were legendary

Annoni - He was just awesome

Petrov - I remember his performance against Juve in Turin, always stuck in my mind.

Petta - For his performance in Amsterdam!

Some of the names mentioned so far I would say are obvious ones. Boruc, Sutton Nakamura etc.

Mine would be Jackie MacNamara. He was such a good player and so under-rated. Some people used to rave about Andreas Hinkel but I'd have picked Jackie Mac over him any day. Great servant to the club.

Murdo macloed, awesome midfielder, covered every blade of grass, had a bullet of a shot on him, scored a barrow load of screamers, hard as nails, great pace and engine, very skillful, what he'd be worth today can only imagine.:celt_2:

Roy Aitken, totally epitomised Celtic for me.
If that maybe counts as an obvious one my other great fave is Brian McClair, both absolute heroes of mine.

Favourite is Paul McStay but after him it'd be George Connelly.

Larsson and Jinky are the obvious ones because they are our best ever players.

Anything else is less so imo.

John Collins stands out for me, although he never won much with Celtic, he played football the Celtic way, never any discipline issues, complete professional and what he went on to achieve after he left us is a credit to himself and to the club he reluctantly left.

Always be remembered for the free kick he scored when there was no away support at castle greyskull

Do the likes of McStay, Collins, Sutton, Boruc, Naka, etc really count? I would say they are all pretty obvious.

I personally like Mark Wilson. Plays for the jersey every time and is a true Tim like you and me. He's battled through several injuries (including another one that he just picked up) to play for his boyhood heroes and always puts in a decent shift.

Others include Agathe, McNamara, Balde, Elliott and Mjallby :50:

There`s a story about John Collins and his complete professionalism. Allegedlly when he was at Hibs, Collins and Gareth Evans shared a flat; when they watched the TV and an advert came on. Collins would do press-ups or sit-ups until the programme came back on.

Fact or Fiction, I don`t know.

Agree with the OP about John Collins.

I've heard these sort of rumours too. Its not really a big deal though when you think about it. He likes to keep himself physically able. Good luck to him :50:
