As you said yourself Kemosabe, we only need 1 or 2 more additions. A goalkeeper is obviously a must and one more striker (either Bothroyd or Bellamy would do me just fine). Our team is already good enough to challenge The Huns for the league, we just need that other striker for Europe and of course, Zaluska cannot be relied upon to be the no.1 choice in goals, with Cervi as backup.

I'm not that worried really. Like plenty others, I have faith in Lenny and I'm more than certain he knows what he's doing. Pletikosa and Gordon have both been linked with us today and I expect we'll get one of them before the season starts.

No im not overly concerned ..I believe we have stronger options in defence now ...Just a GK which will probably be Forster when we go back with another bid over £2m ......Maybe a striker to get however we are not desperate in that area

It's imperative we bring in a GK and quality striker.

looks like, the dear JOHN letter is slowly sinking in to some, more than to others, we where looking at supposedly, at Bellamy or even Kean, and they are a no no. we would all agree any one of them would be a asset, the thing is there are not many of those type of players going about, infact i cant think of any that would put in a shift like those any of those two to help our cause, and if we got some one else if by chance it would be a total gamble. we all know what we need we have known for a while, but we deal in the penny tray.

A few people asked this question this early last year. Then we signed a gazillion players.

Lenny doesn't think we need many anyway with 3 defenders brought in already and a pretty competative midfield already there.

A goalie and a striker and we're set. So I'd take my time to make sure those two are the perfect two and not rush into anything to appease fans.

Aw *, just what we needed. Another thread inviting this mad Butch character to come and tell us what Lennon should do with the team and who he should get rid of and what he should have for his dinner and when he should go for a *.

We don't deal in the penny tray, we have been paying £1million + for players for the last few seasons....how is that the penny tray?:97:

For a keeper though, we dont have time. A weeks trial for a keeper that we know little about, has hardly played in two seasons and seems to be an afterthought is something to be a little concerned about.

I dont want them to rush into anything to appease us. I want us to get the right players as well. This trial lark smacks of desperation a little. Zaluska is not the answer.

We either get Given, or we go back in for Forster. That would be the sensible option.

    No not at all.

If you look at the state of that mob and how little depth they have and we have both quality and quantity to deal with them and the rest of the SPL at present.

If Neil wants to get aywhere in the europa league this year we still need a CB and a GK other than that i'm pretty * happy.

At the end of the day if we lose the league again this year it won't be down to lack of squad depth anyway.

Aside from a new keeper I don't think there's much to be concerned about.

I'm not too concerned by the lack of activity on the transfer front. After all, it's not as if we haven't done anything. We've already brought in Kelvin Wilson and Adam Matthews so that's two new players for starters. We also finished the season with a pretty settled team so we're in a good place.

Rangers have only brought in one player so far as well so it's not as though we've lost any ground to them either.

The one area of slight concern to me is the goalkeeping situation. In an ideal world we'd have had a new goalkeeper signed by now and he could have used the pre-season to get acclimated to playing for Celtic and to build up a relationship with our defenders. It looks as though our new goalkeeper, whoever he may be, is going to have to go straight in at the deep end and learn on the job. That's not ideal but it can be done.

I'm still optimistic for the new season.

I would like to see a keeper as soon as possible, but otherwise I'm not concerned. Lennon has been right more often than not in the transfer market so far.

All we need is a Keeper and a striker and the window is still open for another 8 weeks or something so im not bothered. We only have 1 competitive match before the 7th of August too so we probably dont even need any signings in until then as we should be fine against Hibs with Zaluska and Stokes playing.

So I make it we have 4 weeks to get a keeper and striker if we want them in from the start.

We really only need a Keeper too before we start playing week in week out as I dont like Zaluska but the striker could be brought in even on the last day if we want to wait and try to sneak Bellamy at a discount wage price.
