:50: He certainly has and probably will reach 100 goals as he's already played in England and not done too well so he'll not be of much interest to English teams so could easily be here for 5+ years.

I think people think "he's scored about 5 penalties" but remember he was the one who won most of the penalties. Off the top of my head he won 2 penalties against Aberdeen(9-0 game), one of them he let Paddy take. He also won the penalty againt Kilmarnock that Murphy took, he won the penalty against Aberdeen in the semi plus he won the penalty against Hibs the other week. So he has won 5 penalties himself maybe more i cant remember the others.

He's been brilliant so far imo. He's a very intelligent player i think, he links up beautifully with Hooper. Long may it continue. :50:

Stokesy is a vital cog in this team.I think Stokes's goals could mean
the difference between winning or losing this league. Defintely a talisman
for us, and I would be interested to know his goal stats, and his stats
for being on the winning side.

He needs to play alongside Hooper to be at his most effective, but yeah, very good player for us. Number 2 striker behind Hoops

Like I thought. And his assists and penalties. No opposing manager or defence can afford to ignore the danger of Stokes, so it worries them, and maybe blurs their tactical thinking. All good.

Yeah, in the SPL anyway, he has 14 SPL goals and 6 assists. 3rd top scorer behind Miller and Sammon overall and 2nd top assister behind Weiss but then again Weiss takes corners and freekicks so i'd bet Stokes has created the most from open play. :celt_2:

It actually shows how good we are now that Stokes doesn't get much said about him. As Scott McDonald I recall was praised like a ghod in his first season and imo he's not even as good as Stokes who this season has had little if any recognition.

He is a class act and much better than that piece of pish (Jelavic) they've got across the city. He always seems to be there when we need him and even though his goal was lucky, he deserves it.

Really pleased for Stokes to be getting some credit playing with confidence and a real finisher, would be unlucky to be dropped for the huns I think the partnership deserves a shot at the huns!!

I couldn't believe that people on this forum were looking for him to be moved on in the window when all he needed was a goal. He stepped up the mark and slotted an important pen against Hamilton and never looked back!!:shamrock:

Hooper has had a lot of praise and rightly so but for me, Stokes has been every bit as good. I was always confident he would score goals but the level of performances he has put in consistently has been surprising. He's playing great, he's one of us and he is still young with potential, fantastic buy.

When we signed him I think it was an SPL goals guarantee and he has delivered so fair enough! Good work rate too though and he does create
