    Quality player and vastly under rated, even by our own backroom staff.

    It is clear for anyone to see how prolific he is in terms of scoring and creating goals.

    It is also clear to see how whenever we score a quality goal, as we did at the weekend, he is involved because his touch and vision around the edge of the box are unrivalled in our current squad.

    Yep have to agree, he's one of my favourite players in the current squad, love his strike rate and link up play, Go on Stokes if you start next week i hope you hurt them bad.

    Aye hes a very good player and sets up as much as he scores, its why I hope Bangura is similar to Hooper so if Hooper or Stokes are ever missing then we still have a quality front 2.

    From what I've heard of Bangura he's more similiar to Stokes than Hooper. However Stokes can play the Hooper role as well. I think we have a chance of 3 different quality pairings upfront.

    And the Samaras wildcard as well :56:

    He's a brilliant team player. Constantly opening up defences, creating goal scoring chances. Assists left, right and centre and bags a few himself. Vastly underestimated by the majority. As mentioned, he has one bad game and everyone jumps down his throat. ASCSC.

    He's been directly involved in 8 of our 15 goals this season.

    1. Scored against Hibs
    2. Passed to Ki who scored against Hibs
    3. Scored against Aberdeen
    4. Passed to Hooper who scored against St Mirren
    5. Scored against Dundee Utd
    6. Headered off the bar against Dundee Utd which Hooper headered in
    7. Passed to Forrest who scored against Motherwell
    8. Passed to Ledley who scored against Motherwell

    Been a good start to the season for him.

    Great thread and long overdue.

    He gets called selfish and accused of having a bad attitude, I have not seen that on the pitch. His goals and assist record so far is fantastic. His movement, vision, passing, touch and his finishing are all brilliant. He's tricky, works hard and is capable of pulling something out the bag.

    He was just as good as Hooper when starting last season and has been just as good, if not better this season. It's a shame he hasn't been trusted in the big games because that's the main reason Hooper's rated higher. That will come though. Very happy that we've got Anthony Stokes.




    That sums the man up, very important part of our squad.

    Exactly, if that big dumplin Samaras gets the nod ahead of him for the 2 big games this week, I don't think anyone would blame him if he banged on Lennon's door and said he wanted a move.
    By far our best striker so far this season. Stokes & Hooper all the way!!
