totally agree, hes an inteligent player also needs to be paired with an intelligent partner like hooper or maloney. as much as i stick up for sammy dont think he is on the same wave length.

if stokes had pace and was good in the air his potential would be scary

Because Lennon told him to do that, we all know that Stokes is a greedy bassa and wants to shot at every opportunity so he wouldn't hang about the wing unless instructed to do so.

Stokes is a deadly player, him and Hooper can tear down any spl defense in a couple of passes with there pace, movement, strength and clinical finishing. But he NEEDS a partner(thats actually a football player and not fookin samaras), he cant play lone striker and I think this is very clear now.

If I was Stokes i'd be close to chucking it because, no matter how well he plays, Lenny just doesn't like him. It's a joke he started on the wing last night - if Lenny wants to play 4-5-1 then stick a natural winger like Forrest on instead.

Lennon doesn't seem to have much of a clue when it comes to Stokes. Every man and their dog knows that he isn't a winger.

Lenny did him no favours by playing him out of position.

Stokes is our main goal threat and he's played well in every SPL game as a striker, it's clear as day that he's not a winger and I can't understand why Lennon's tried him there again.

At any other club, I think Stokes may be looking for a move - I honestly do. He's the first to be subbed when things aren't going well, despite Hooper playing poorer at times, along with other players. He's not trusted in the big games and when he is eventually, he's played out of position.

Stokes must start up front at Sion.

I don't get NL at times, why he's always pulling Stokes off and putting him out wide just confuses me. Plus I got a bet on him being top scorer this season so come on Neil, do us a favour.

If Stokes doesn't start a game well his head goes down an he starts doin ridiculous stuff like that swallow dive on Thurs.

His attitude still needs attention, too often he shoots from Roy of the rovers angles. I can't think of a single occasion when Hooper has done that.

He's started the league games well so hopefully that continues and Thursday was just a bad day at the office for all concerned. There's a real chance of a rout on Sunday as the saints are horrific the noo.

Surely, SURELY, Lenny now realises that Stokes CANNOT play out wide. He's been ineffective there time and time again, and I hope he stops now.
As for OF games, I think if he keeps up the form he's been showing recently then he'll certainly be in for a starting place. Remember he did have patches when he went off the boil a bit last season, and based on what we've seen so far the huns are now a lot worse than they were then. Keep up this goalscoring form and he'll start I reckon.

You have to be joking. How do you know it was a dive anyway ? Some people say there was contact by the goalkeeper, and the referee on Thursday was awful, and I don't recall Stokes having a reputation for being a diver, if anybody is a diver it is that Steven Naismith of Rangers who goes down like a sack of totties if anyone even goes near him.

The way that Lennon mistreats Stokes leads me to believe that there is bad blood between them, in this case with Lennon, and I just wonder if it all stems back to that time Stokes and Lennon had a bust up on the field with each other at Parkhead, when Stokes was playing with Falkirk. If it does have anything to do with that, then it is a poor show by Lennon, as a good manager shouldn't be holding grudges from the past.

Stokes has looked a much better player this season. A waste of time playing him out wide. He is a true confidence player and thrives on it.

Hopefully it will be back to normal and he will be up front tomorrow. With Maloney, who did well last sunday, and also Thursday when he came on.
