i like stokes he has done very well since his move and don't want to see him move on, but what i did not like is when he got subbed and walked down the tunnel, and thats why he got dropped and rightly so in my book

but apart from that he has been great and done a good job

Glad to see his support here, hate seein people all day slagging him off for no apparent reason?

Why would you want to punt a proven SPL goalscorer who had a great first season even though he didnt get the best of chances, for somebody who isnt proven north of the border.

He has the best feet of all our strikers, great skill, and I feel he's our best reader of the game up front, his off the ball movement is great!

He doesnt get enough credit imo, 19 goals in 35 appearances 9 of them from coming of the bench, 8 assists in the league isnt too bad either
Also correct me if im wrong but i dont think he missed one game this season through injury

I like Stokes and would love him to be here next season. He does have a lot of work to do on his game and attitude but he's young and will learn these things. There is no doubt the lad has got talent, good goalscorer even though he can be a bit greedy sometimes, and has been our top assist this season. Works great with Hooper, seem to just know what each other do and where they'll be.
You need 3 goalscorers in your squad and we currently have 2 (out of 4 strikers). Should Stokes stay? Defo.

I think ive seen a number of occassions where he is red-faced and is shouting at his team-mates. He might be over-competitive... that is not necessarily bad i guess.

no chance .. we shouldnt be selling our best players right now unless we get proven talent in to replace!

stokes and hooper are great up front, and like said above, i think we would have won the league if we played stokes and hooper instead of samaras in the big games. just makes me depressed for europe in coming seasons, cos if lennon is afraid to play them up front against the huns, then i doubt he would play them against anyone in europe! :(

I'd be happy to see the back of him and sammy, if it meant bringing in Long & bothroyd

the more i saw of stokes the more i liked him, great movement & vision, reckon he'd be a real asset in European games, as he gets older he'll mature more and with more experience on the park he'll keep improving as a player, 19 goals and 11 assists last season was great considering he wasnt even here for pre-season.

ps- his father would appear to be a numpty prone to give * advise, maybe Anthony has suffered from listening to him...

The kids only 22, so much more to come from him. Fantastic finisher with movement, flair and a creative side. If he ends up in the championship playing as a STRIKER he will tear it up.

We must not sell him and if that means no to Long then it's a sacrifice I'd be willing to make. That being said, I'd love Long, Hooper and Stokesy.

What if long joins and he's *? Which chances are he would be. We've just got rid of a striker who's 22 and put 20 goals away for us in his first season, would be really stupid.

I think hes a great player and offers alot, the last OF game of the season we looked way more likely to score in the 15 minutes or so that he played.

we must keep stokes, he had a good first season, give him a decent run in the side and he'll bang in the goals, i'd have him ANYDAY in front of samaras!!

I'm a Stokes fan and rate him highly but something in my gut tells me he will be moving on this Summer and I fear that it will be a big mistake.

So now the new season is coming upon us, do you guys think stoksey will get more of a chance to prove himself vs the likes of r*ngers? Or do you think Lenny will go back to Sammy Hooper combo (this is all assuming we dont bring in another striker, which I hope we do!)

I think Sammy did a fair job last season vs the huns, and im being a bit generous to the big guy. I really think Stokes deserves a shot to show what he's got vs them!
