I have said this season that Stokes is a better all around fitba player than Hooper.

Point proven tonight.Sammy deserves nowhere the starting line up,apart from if Stokes is injured or Hooper is.I *' told ya'll.
Anyone who thinks Sammy should be starting, with all due respect, imo needs their heads checked.

Yes he's played well twice. That's about as much as we can realistically expect right enough.

What's a better nickname for this partnership?
    Hookes or stooper?

Also good to see him back in the team, been dying to see him playing again

Outstanding linkup play from Stokes and Hooper again last night. It took them all of about 45 seconds to combine and get Hooper in on goal. It really is a joy to watch those 2 play together. Stokes all round was excellent last night. Man of the match for me.

There surely can be no argument that Stokes and Hooper should be the number one pairing from now to the end of the season? * this horses for courses *. We played better on Wed (first half anyway) than we have done in the previous 4 games. You could almost taste the relief in the air. Players looked more comfortable and Hooper in particular clearly enjoys playing alongside an actual strike partner. Something Sammy is never capable of doing. A good win tomorrow will put us 5 pts ahead and Sundays game for R*****s will be that much bigger for them.

yeah, no need to break them two up again this season. unless one gets injured. that includes ibrox. they need to be given a chance there to prove they can do it anywhere

He's like Kris Boyd to me. Scores against all the * and isn't trusted against the better teams.

He's not had the chance to prove his worth against the biger team ie the huns. Think once he gets his chance he silence his critics

You do realise he's scored goals aganst Rangers before? He scored at least twice against them last season. And he's scored against us.

The people who dislike Stokes tend to be the ones who appreciate our worthless bearded one.

Haha its a joke he doesnt get the credit he deserves, he perhaps did more and had more of an impact against St Mirren than Hooper did, he gets treated harshly by Lennon and Fans.

If he has one bad game he gets dropped yet samaras comes in and is terrible!

Also its totally ridic how he didnt start the cup final, Lennon was far to predictable when it came to picking samaras AGAIN! 4 times in a row, it was bound to wear off eventually his impact in them, something different would of been nice and I belive we wouldnt of lost with him starting the game, he def wont of done worse than Samaras and how he didnt get on the pitch at is also a complete joke!

Yeah, I remember him scoring a couple into Rangers including a cracker at Ibrox. It's funny how certain players can stand out in the smaller SPL clubs at times. Riordon's the same to me. Just not what we need for the bigger matches.

Stokes and Riordon might look decent on the ball but to have no strength or pace won't get you by in an Old Firm game or against top European opposition.

Strength and pace isn't everything. Remember Lubo? Ever seen Berbatov? Stokes has proven that he can play well against Rangers, so if its strength and pace that's the problem why didn't it stop him then?

He has skill, positioning, good touch, composure and finishing

You can be a different type of striker, fact is we dont have a striker like that anyway, Hooper isnt that fast tbh, hes strong though
