A player that has scored 40 goals in the last season and a half is crap? Geez peace.

Stokes is a major goal threat at SPL level and, since that's the league we play in, that makes him an important player for Celtic.

It would take Samaras 4-5 seasons to do what Stokes has done in the last 18 months.

More than that probably.Stokes is more than capable of scoring goals galore for us.And has been doing so.That's what he's paid to do,so I have no problems with him.Unbeleiveable people still don't think he's worthy.
Beardy,on the other hand is a dunce.

Get stokes in for sammy.we need 2 strikers that can score goals.there is too much pressure on hooper fur goals when sammy plays.major blunder giving him a new contract which only goes to show that we won't have money for a new striker next season.cos if we did have plenty of cash there is no way sammy would be here

If we are to have any chance of winning this league Anthony Stokes needs to come back into this team, and stay there for the rest of the season.

never heard as much pish in my life, stokesy doesn't do as much linking up as hooper. hooper drops deep alot to link up play and still gets barrowloads of goals.

He doesn't work anywhere near as hard, doesn't get as many assists and he doesn't score as much though?

So does Stokes, which makes them such a useful partnership. Stokes is more skillfull than Hooper and will score goals that Hooper can't (against Hibs this season for example, against Rangers last season) however Hooper will always get himself in better positions to score as he has more of a poachers attitude. Which Stokes has as well but doesn't apply as much.

They are very similiar but with some key differences that make them an outstanding partnership.

    Hooper
    Stokes
    Samaras
    Murphy

That's the order I would rank our strikers in from what I've seen so far. I only hope to * Daryl Murphy isn't as hopeless as he's looked on the few occasions I've seen him, surely he has more to offer than what we've seen so far?

I would actually put Forrest or Maloney up front before I would Murphy.

I think the first time Lennon started Samaras against the Huns was a stroke of brilliance; the next few times we kind of got away with it, and in the Cup Final the Huns knew to expect it and had obviously figured out how to defend against him. In retrospect, I think playing Stokes and Hooper instead of Sammy and Hooper would have thrown off their game plan. But hindsight's always 20/20.

Stokes is our top goalscorer and has the highest amounts of assists in the team this season. He should definitely be playing.

Stokes isny my cup of tea anyway.

As well as not been as talented a footballer as Hooper and Samaras their would seem to be an attitude problem with Stokes.

Ive seen him numerous times storming up the tunnel after being subsituted.

I think he may have forgotten where hes came from.

He totally bombed down south until his pal Yogi rescued him on the pretence he'd get him a move too Celtic.

He has - and he should stop spitting the dummy out and improve his all round game if he wants too be considered a first team regular at a club like Celtic.

As i say apparently he's been fined loads of times since he's been at Celtic so there obviously is an attitude/ego problem which isnt quite in line with his talent.

    Just my opinion.

When has he been fined? When has he stormed off?

    Examples.
