    I think you will find yourself in the minority with this opinion.

    Stokes is a very good player to have in the team, his goals and assists stats show that pretty emphatically.

    He scored bags of goals consistently when he had his partnership with Hooper,with * thumb man here he's onLy going to score more.I don't think there's any pleasing some people.

    I like stokes as a squad player. In an ideal world we would have a few better players ahead of him. He will always score a decent amount of goals domestically.

    I'd go along with that. He's become a better goalscorer, but partly because he's started thinking/acting more like a poacher, become a little more selfish, and as a result he's scoring more but not being as creative for others.

    Still think he's probably POTY, though.

    Well looks like Stokes managed to rack up another odd goal and another odd assist this weekend:icon_mrgreen:

    Seriously though. Stokes lack of pace to get in behind defenders maybe holds him back from being a truly top class international striker. But nonetheless he is still a quality player and for me a vital player in our squad who has played a big part in our success over the past few seasons under Lennon. I for one was delighted when he signed a new contract earlier this season especially as given he will only just have turned 26 when the new season starts next July he still has his peak career years in front of him.

    Clearly a dud.

    Griffiths has given him a new lease of life. He needs to play alongside someone who plays on the shoulder of the last defender, a lot of us have been saying that all season and as soon as Griffiths comes in he picks up immediately.

    i love him.
