    I hope Stokes can nail down a starting spot in this Celtic team again soon, he's one of our most creative players and he guarantees goals in the SPL. When we are desperately needing someone to step up, Stokes will pop up - he's proved that time and time again.

    It would be criminal if he wasn't offered a new deal. He will never be everyones cup of tea but irregardless he has proven time and again he can be relied on to score and create goals for this current squad.

    Anthony Stokes is clearly a really good striker in the SPL. He's pretty much guaranteed to be around the 20 goal mark, and to set up a lot of goals as well, as long as he is playing up front for Celtic in the SPL.

    So from that perspective he should be in the team.

    However, Neil Lennon also has to think about building a team for the Champions League. It is my view, and I would suggest it is also Neil Lennon's view, that Anthony Stokes is not good enough to cut it at that level. So while playing Stokes up front with Hooper in the SPL seems like a great idea, it's not actually helping us prepare for European football. Formations and tactics have to be worked on and practised, you can't just play 4-4-2 every week in the league then suddenly change to something else when European matches come around(well you could but you probably wouldn't be very successful).

    I think this is part of the dilemma Neil Lennon faces with Anthony Stokes.

    This. No one knows whether he's CL quality as he's never played a CL group game. However, he did well in the EL last season, and on that basis he should be given the chance in CL qaulifying.

    I know that he have been injured. But this got broke up before that. And never used again. It was like gone and forgotten.
