Nakamura had his free kicks, hartson and Sutton won most headers, agathe had electric pace and so does stokes.

Give the guy a chance, I think him and hooper will bang in the goals this season!!

 

Thank *! This guy should have been signed long before Murphy. Stokes, Hooper, Samaras in a forward line would be leathal. He will do for us what Boyd did for them. Will score against the pish in the SPL when we need a goalscorer to step up and has already shown he can do it against the Huns a few times so I think this is a good bit of business for us. Much better than Fortune aswell. Give him no 10.

Is Stokes good in the air. I thought in his Falkirk days when he tore Mick etc a new one that he was very tall looking. However Wiki says he is only 5ft 11. Still a decent height but thought he was 6ft 4 or something. I notices some posts from people reckoning he wouldnt be good at long balls/hold up play. Is that right? I really have not watched him all that closely.

Stokes is proven in the SPL, we are in the SPL,what is the problem? We need to win the title this year and this type of player will help us to do that,straight swap for miss Fortune and a mill in the bank,good business by anyone's standards..

Agreed mate. Morgan did you say this when henrik or lubo where signing cos both these guys where unknown quantities and look what they did for our club, am not saying stokes is in that class or stupid things like that but what I am saying is that we didn't know what we were getting with those players, but we know what we are getting with stokes and that is a top spl striker, and who knows how far his talent can take him once our coaches get him in. I think stokes can only improve and he is still young at 22 so give the boy a chance..

 

I think maf was 3.4 or 3.8 million mate and stokes is 1.2 or so, so he is a third of maf's price sorry to be perdantic lol

 

He will be good for us this season mate Either out wide or playing just off Stokes/Hooper I do think he will be an important player for us. Also the form that wee Maloney is in he is going to be creating chances for Stokes left right and centre. Might actually go for him as top scorer in the SPL this year instead of Hooper
