    1.2million is excellent bit of business espescially with fortune leaving for 2.5million

    I like that we are keeping the books balanced especially since we will be without european money.

    I think its a good peace of business, proven goalscorer in spl with Hibs and Falkirk.

    Hopfully sammy out and another striker in also by tomorrow night.

    if we have to go with stokes and Hooper for the rest of the SPL season then yes i would be quite pleased with that, i think judging our front 2 against our nearest rivals ( miller and Jelavic ) i would definitely think we are capable of scoring more goals. Miller goes on these scoring runs and then cant score in 6/7 games he's always been the same, and although Jelavic has a good goals to games ratio, it doesn't mean he will set the SPL on fire. I definitely wouldn't go as far as you and concede the the SPL Title 3 games in to the season,top of the league, 3 clean sheets and still improving the squad, it's just madness.

    Not completed mate no, but fee agreed, he will pas his medical no problem, and i don't see us failing to agree personal terms considering what he must be on at hibs just now, so although not officially complete, it's in the bag i would say:50:

    good post, people think we should be spending millions on individual players but the brutal truth is its unsustainable for the club to do so. if hooper stays fit then i can see him and stokes having a very good season.:50:

    Cant get excited about a striker who scored once for sunderland and once in 26 championship games while on loan !! Hope tae * lenny has got somebody else up his sleeve cos this smacks of desperation buying another squad player !!

    The difference is mate that was then and in the Championship, this is now and in the SPL,we have signed a proven goal scorer in the SPL and at the end of the day that's all that is needed this season with no European football.And besides Hooper apart,i think he is better than what we have in that position so can't really grumble.
