I'm not, I'm talking about the 2-1 at Celtic Park. Schone scores that night as well I'm sure, very late on.

Think Bitton had just been sent off.

I have made a some comments here and to be honest in hindsight I am sorry now that I did, My intention was not to create division but simply to allow people to hear my story and how Anthony effected our lives. Every word That i wrote was 100% true. I dont claim to know much about football or even much about Celtic I was just very disappointed reading newspapers and internet sites as to what people were saying. My hope was to allow people to see a different side of of Anthony Stokes. This the last time I will comment on here I will now close the account. The Bottom line is here is a player who might be a bit wild , has a lot of strongly held views that most people would not understand or be interested in. Whatever people may think of him he is a mad Celtic fan and loves the club , I know for a fact he has been trying to get everything together both in his football and private life. I also know he trains better than most , because I was at a Celtic match and was told this by other players in the Players lounge at Celtic. Players will not say anything in public that will upset the manager but may think different in private. There is no doubt this come down to a personality clash between him and the manager. Bottom line is, A die hard Celtic Player is to me is as good as any other on the team is been forced out especially when he is facing a court case next week , be different if he just was simply was not good enough to even make the bench for the team, i know he is devastated over this. I dont know if Anthony reads this but I would like to say on behalf of my family and especially my son , Anthony we are always here for you and grateful for all you have done, keep your head up and things will work out. * Bless you and all Celtic Celtic fans.

I'm not ashamed of questioning somebody on an Internet forum.

I doubt Anthony checks in on TC, and I'm sure ourbhoy has other means of contacting him to express his thanks, furthermore, I'm sure Anthony already well aware how grateful he is.

Apologies if forum banter caused anyone any offence. It wasn't intended. Lighten the * up.

You would say that for you have an open vendetta against Stokes Murphy.
Everybody who has ever read your posts on Stokes know that.

Thanks for clearing that up mate.:50:
I am actually ashamed as a Celtic fan at the way the club are treating Anthony.

Hibernian have become the third Scottish club to agree a deal with Celtic to take Anthony Stokes on loan.
The striker, 27, has yet to agree to the move, but Hibs manager Alan Stubbs says a deal could be agreed on Friday.
Dundee United and Inverness Caledonian Thistle have both also agreed terms with the Premiership club.
Hibs manager Alan Stubbs said: "We are progressing with talks. We have only just agreed the deal with Celtic, so we haven't spoken to Anthony."
Celtic had indicated that they would prefer Stokes to join a top-flight club.
But Dundee United manager Mixu Paatelainen has said that he did not believe his club were favourites to sign the striker. Caley Thistle's John Hughes said he believed Stokes did not relish the idea of playing in Inverness.
Stubbs is hoping for a positive reaction once he talks to Stokes.
"We are hoping to do that and we are hoping to conclude the deal as quickly as possible," said the Hibs manager. "We are hopeful."
"We are a top-flight club playing in the Championship.
"We understand Celtic's wishes, but I think the fact that we have got some very competitive games in this division and our aspirations are very high and if we can get Anthony across the line then he certainly brings a lot of quality."
Stubbs says the deal could be done in time for the match against promotion rivals Falkirk on Sunday.

LOL which part wasn't true though? He did miss the Barcelona and Spartak Moscow and Oldco games. They were all far bigger and better teams than Kilmarnock and Shaktar Karagandy.

27 European games, 2 goals. 9 Ireland caps, no goals. The guy is a striker. Those stays are horrible. His level is scoring against * Scottish teams, he has endlessly proved he doesn't have a higher performance in him.

the thing is though, Karagandy and teams of that ilk is who we need players for to negotiate. None of Stokes' replacements have shown they can conjure up that bit of magic that he can in those ties.

It's not about Spartak or Barca anymore, unfortunately.

Maybe not his replacements, but Samaras and Hooper at the same time proved they could do it. Wish we'd kept them over Stokes.

Agreed. But we didn't and we are talking about the here and now.

Stokes has proved he can be an asset in these qualifiers and yet he is getting the bullet.

We need some good players this window, players ready to step into the first team. I wont hold my breath though.

Stokes is a good player there is no doubts about it, would he do a job for us, probably. However you have to understand Ronny's thinking and its the best line of thinking to take, to be a good manager you need to get the best out of all your players and be able to have your team fully motivated and giving 100%, this is the reason why he wont play stokes, the sort of precedent that sets by playing a player who isn't giving anywhere near the same effort as other players just devalues the culture of what we are trying to achieve just now. It's as simple as that, like he said if Stokes wants to play then the doors open he just needs to put the effort in.

I promised myself I would stay out of this thread; but I can't. :smiley-laughing002:

Does anyone have any proof that the Club and or Ronny have a vendetta against him and are trying to get rid of him through no fault of his own?(random posts on a forum do not count).

    I put this in the Ronny thread as I think it speaks volumes;

    On the day that Anthony tweeted about going up to Inverness(29th November) Leigh Favorited/liked a post that read;

"Maybe if Stokes worked as hard as Leigh has in the last year or so, he'd be a starter like he is. dry your eyes mate and work."

If Leigh, Stokes team-mate, agreed with the tweet, doesn't that indicate that Stokes himself is the problem?

But then you end up with hard working losers in your eleven. That's not Celtic, that's not even Motherwell.

He's been doing double training sessions for nearly two months, as well as being one of the first players to embrace the Ronny culture at the beginning.

He was also told if he knuckled down he would have a future here and now he is being loaned out.

Honestly the facts point to this not being about his application or professionalism.

Have any clubs down South expressed any solid interest in Stokes? If not, he'll choose to go to hibs for sure.
