Anthony Stokes

Funny that pish talk seems to be the default position for most of our fans even yourself these days

 

So blatant, unbelievable today again..

 

Ronny has said more than a few times stokes can be part of the team if he improves on a few things.
Its not like he is asking him to grow a 3rd arm.
If stokes wants to be in the team he can be in the team its down to him now.

 

I think that Rogic, Armstrong, and Ciftci should improve on a massive scale to come anywhere close to what Tony Stokes offers us. 20 assists a season like. The manager is cutting his nose of to spite his face. Stokes has never let us down on the pitch and that is where the game is played.

 

Aye Deila doesnt have to improve and he has the balls to come out drop Stokes for his collection of wee pets.

 

True but that will not go down well with the RD haters. No matter what happens with Stokes now RD is going to get jumped on by a select few who have made this personal.

 

I remember fans on here screaming for stokes to get game time under lennon when team was having a poor run of form.

He didn't even get a whole game before we was back to the...get stokes to * stage.

I know you have a fondness for him being a fellow countryman...but the guy ain't messi.

Unless we are going 2 up front and he has someone to play with...i wouldn't be so quick to think he will improve things that much if any.

So far i would rather him than shifty but i seem to remember up front alone he was not that great...rock and hard place as far as strikers go.

 

So because he couldn't get us the results we wanted he is just a liar...

 

He is a better option than Stuart Armstrong who has started on the left all season and if played in the 10 role I reckon he would be a better option than Rogic. He should partner Griff though. And to be honest being an Irishman doesnt really make a difference to my assessment of a player as I have never been impressed by O'Connell. Stokes is just a better player than some of our regular starters its that simple.

I dont seek reassurance on a football forum im here to give it straight. Some people dont like my choice of adjectives which is up to them. I could be more diplomatic if I wanted to but my logic is correct and if people want to hear puff pieces I would direct them to CQN. He plays more limited footballers on the park because they are his favourites ahead of people who have been there done it.

 

Hard to argue with this . You've got Anthony Stokes sitting in the stands while Carlton Cole and Nadir Ciftci are playing up front together.

 

That is my point,despite your complaining from time to time i guess its clear you like the attention.

 

It's a passionate game and I have no intention of tip toeing around peoples sensitivity's. They way I look at it is if you dont give to people straight you are full of *.

 

Nonsense, he plays players that buy into the team ethos and work hard in training, and don't act like they are some big time player, you can see Stokes I'm too cool for school attitude on Celtic TV, and it stinks. Griffiths is humble and is delivering the results. Stokes needs to sort out his attitude problem and play for the team rather than himself.

Stokes could play as the AMC.
