Ireland late isn't the only reason he's been dropped.

 

He was diabolical at the start of the season.

 

Disagree with the last part. If he is mediocre as a winger (or attacking midfielder I would call it but each to their own) how do you explain the fact he has been directly involved in over 20 goals this season?

 

If Stokes was that important in Deila's eyes he would not have been out of today's team.

 

What strike action?

 

he was a sub the last 2 games before he decided not to come back as well, fair enough he was not in the squad the last 2 games, but its no like he was missed before , or missed in the games since.

 

I like Stokes, but lets face it he's not exactly an exceptional player, and he seems like a bit of a *.

With that said he has improved a lot this season. But right now he's out of the first 11 and its going to be very hard for him to get back in it, we have better options now.

 

You've still not provided evidence of this supposed strike.

If there was a strike, I doubt he'd be out the squad for two games in a row and fined.

Face it, he's been a disrespectful * to the support, Ronny and co and his fellows players. And not for the first time either.

 

According to my mam, who works in the airport, there was no strike action. I think the fact he wasn't even in the squad again today proves that.

No denying he's made a * of it and is going to have to work his * off to get back in the team again, but he's easily good enough.

I agree with the ethos of your post, I guess some will argue the signing of Armstrong and GMS changes our best current 11. I think it's a bit early.

To be honest I can't really remember how good/bad his individual performances were at the start of the season, and by start of season I'm guessing you mean September/August? The team as a whole was * then.

He was our most important player before Christmas and for periods the only time we'd play decent football was when both him and Guidetti were on the pitch, they were forming a good understanding.

He blows hot and cold too often for my liking.

I was one of his biggest critics last season, I get pelters from the people that sit near me at Celtic Park when I praise him, as I used to just moan about him last season.

He upped his game, and I thought that performances were here to stay. But again, he went back to his old ways. And I also seen his stats compared to Adam Rooney, Billy McKay and another striker (can't remember who) and they were near enough the same, which really opened my eyes.

I like the idea of having him here as a squad player, however I can't see him settling for that.

I reckon he'll be gone in the Summer.

 

Stokes was * at the begining of the season, probably until November time.
