Can't see him getting back in the team. GMS, Henderson, Johansen, Armstrong all better players.

Three of those players have less starts, goals and assists than Stokes combined. Two of them only joined a couple of weeks ago.

Armstrong, Henderson and GMS have a long way to go to emulate Stokes in a Celtic shirt.

 

He was decent in the league when hooper was here. But I still think they are all better players. Stokes couldn't cut it in Europe and in rangers games.

 

He was one of our best attacking threats in the group stages this season.

 

Give it up. He is not a not a good enough player for us in Europe.

He'll be OOT on his * in the summer, Ronny sees through him.

 

I honestly cant understand why anyone wouldn't want to have a player like Stokes in their 25 man squad.

Guess they are happy with bloating the squad with the likes of Derk, Pukki, Rogic et al.

 

Sepovic Johansen and commons all better he was probably the worst attacking threat that played every game.

Do you honestly think we can get 25 players in our squad better than Stokes therefore he couldn't find a place in our European squad?

If we can find players who will contribute to 25/40 goals every season that forces Stokes out of that 25 then he can go with my best wishes.

I think some idiots on here apply EPL transfers to the way we should be doing business.

Anthony Stokes is easily worth a place in that 25 man squad, we would have to spend a lot of money for him to not be deserving of a place.

 

The last boat over is around 11 so i would imagine if he missed his flight from Dublin airport then he literally had no way over bar chartering his own flight or jumping on a fishing boat.

Some of the jacks on here will likely know what time the flights go out from Dublin. I'd say he just missed his flight.

Bobby Petta was an attacking threat at times. We punted him. We'll punt Stokes. And shockingly we'll somehow survive, or maybe (just maybe!) replace him with somebody capable of scoring more often than once every three years in Europe. Armstrong has already taken his first place team, I think we can definitely replace him in the squad.

No coincidence either that we get 3 goals against the best team we've played this season when we play widemen suited to the style. Your talking out you * if you think stokes would have had a similar input against Milan like GMS and Armstrong.
