I agree. More to his game than other seasons.

One of his key attributes is his link up play. He's a very intelligent player. Unfortunately for him this meant he was often overshadowed by Hooper when he was here in bigger games when we would only play 1 up front, and then when Hooper first left he was unable to fill his position alone. He really came onto a game with Griffiths last season, and his link up play with Izzy this season has been terrific. That's all he really needs, someone to play alongside.

I'd say that's debatable. I also like him up top with a partner but the way he's adapted on the left this season is fantastic.

Would be interesting to see his stats up to this point in previous seasons when playing alongside Hooper to compare them with where he is now.

To everyone else in the team. He's not playing better than he has previously, there's just no players like Hooper and Wanyama out shining him.

Compare it to the last 6 months of last season when he was up top with Griffiths :50:

I still think that strikeforce, if given an extended run, would tear the SPFL to bits.

Stokes/Griffiths is not what Celtic should be settling for. Let's get Guidetti back on form, Stokes/Griffiths is good enough for Hibs but not us.

I think that could be a 50 goal a season strike force lad

Don't you want us to progress in Europe though? Do we even need to go over Stokes' over 3 year European goal drought again?

I am aware of this of course. Dropping a player for tactical reasons in Europe is not unusual. Id say Stokes is even used to it. Letting Sammy leave was another Lawwel *.

    I agree.

Put Stokes next to Guidetti in the SPFL. We've done that for 15 minutes this season and it resulted in Stokes setting up Guidetti for a goal and almost the same about 2 minutes before it.

We missed him yesterday. McGregor isn't a patch on him.

Aye. I've been harsh on him the last season or two but this season he's been vital.

Any word on his injury? We seem to be keeping information about injuries very close to our chest these days.

Lustig, Denayer and Forrest. Nobody has a clue when they'll be back.

Oh without doubt, think that's clear.

In general, if we play 2 up top, either of Guidetti/Stokes/Griffiths/ even Scepovic IMO would tear this league to bits.
