I'd have him ahead of Patterson any day

 

Yeah never got the Patterson thing, he was backed as the next big thing but couldn't get ahead of Tavernier. Kind of feel people don't want to admit they were wrong.

 

Had a great game last night, some really good crosses into the box and movement to make himself available as an out. Got a bit leggy towards the end but that's understandable with his lack of first team minutes. Gotta start v Germany surely.

 

Also feel that he was a hun so the media made him out to be something he isn't.

I have no doubt Ralston is the better player.

Huns will say that Patterson got a move to the EPL. However, it's to Everton who struggle to stay in the league every year. CCV left the EPL and Bassey plays there now. CCV cost £6m. Bassey cost £20m. Which one you taking?

Patterson is an absolute myth.

 

He was solid rather than spectacular against Finland, he seemed to concentrate on his defending going to opponents byline rarely, he definitely did enough to start versus germany and I expect him to attack more in that game having already solidified his place, so happy for him, he’s been a great squad asset for Celtic and solid professional.

 

I like your optimism that we'll be doing loads of attacking vs the Germans

 

Love to sit down with him and ask him if he saw the day that he’d be at euro 2024 when he didn’t play more than 1 game in the 20/21 season

Was good seeing him up at corners for Scotland. A real goal threat if the delivery is right he'll commit more than most to win the ball.

Always a bit disappointed that we don't use him that way anymore in our games.

 

Because we are pathetic at corners.

He's a solid basic rb who usually does ok but I wouldn't say he's international quality.

 

Gutted for him, some finish tho.

 

No where near international class. Much as I like him.

Don’t think there’s a single Celtic fan that would disagree. We all know this, but he’s perfectly fine as a squad player playing against the spl jobbers as cover and in early cup games. I think even Ralston knows his place in that regard. Football is a squad game remember.

 

Especially with the number of games we play over the course of a season.

 

Felt sorry for him as he was so out of his depth.

 

I thought he was one of our main attacking threats tonight. Defensively he didn't look so good but he had absolutely * all support from the right sided midfielders and Hendry (who for some reason never gets criticised).
