Defended him go the hilt, but he's reverted back to the player he was before Ange came in.

Maybe he's been carrying a knock for a while, but he looks *.

He’s been pish since AJ got injured and is looking like the ralston of old pre Ange.

Would be happy to give him pre season to get himself fit again but he’s a concern even as back up tbh.

Had a shocker, but he’s fine for back up.

Will be a good character to have around and will contribute to the homegrown quota for Europe, for not a lot of financial outlay.

Back to his best when he came on today, really impressed with his 30 minutes today.

I don’t think it’s fsir judjing him on performances from the previous couple of matches before today. They were experimental lineups with very limited minutes between them, especially on Wed (when inc. Bain). I still think there’s a decent player in him….

He’s offski, we must have another RB lined up. I hope it’s Max Johnson.

I like the guy... but that doesn't mean he's good enough to be our first choice RB.

For me it's always sad to see guys like Ralston potentially leaving because I would love to see more academy success stories in our starting 11.

But even if the overall quality of the Scottish game around us is dog *... Celtic are in such a position that in the most bizarre cases, we must be the most difficult team to breakthrough into because of the demand for success is just so heavy and unforgiving.

Had his purple patch which was practically a whole season when Ange first arrived, but it does seem like Ralston is a player that is always going to be around about where he was in terms of his ability pre Ange.

This home grown stipulation though.... are we not walking a tight rope with that?

Tony is a player who needs a run of consistent games to get up to speed.

He has never let us down in the past when called upon. He's Celtic minded and he gets it. You can never have enough of those players in the team when the chips are down.

Mikey Johstone can take his place along side Calmac Forrest and Welsh as the club grown players.
However I think it would leave us 1 short in the country crieria. Two if Turnbull goes.
In fact as Ange doesn't rate Bain if Turnbull goes we'd really be 3 short.

Might just be me but feels fairly obvious that quote below the picture is referring to his wee girl and nothing to do with a summer transfer.

Doubt if anyone on here is claiming he should be first choice RB.
He is fine as a back up RB. Low dollar, home grown, etc. Has his flaws but overall, adequate as a back up.
Getting a bit of flack recently but so have most others, due to that rotational spell when team was not functioning.

Great back up.. I think people forget how good he was when called upon last season. He's second choice no doubt but strikes me as a guy that just loves being at Celtic.

Hard coming in at the end of this season when leagues wrapped up with so little game time and Ange messing about with the fringe players.

Gets it tight on here for some reason, easy target I think.. but very adequate back up and homegrown

What injury was it he had anyway? I remember noticing he'd lost weight especially round the arms and shoulders when he came back, used to be really bulky and strong upper body when he came back he looked like he'd lost 2 stone. Although he's getting back to the way he looked before.

First time I seen a guy returning from injury looking skinner.

Think he's had a few this season but tried to play through them. Obviously injured in December against Aberdeen, but played as only option, then came off the next game with a back issue. Then got pulled from the Scotland squad due to another injury, and got treatment, so still think he's carrying something or recovering.

Agree think he's lost some bulk. Maybe been told to, or could even just be stress over injuries.
