Anthony Ralston

Not after last week. We can't afford to leak goals today and defensively Jura is the better option. Back four last week was poor need to return to our strongest available back line.

JJ CCV Jenz and Taylor.

 

Has to be Ralston. Juaranovic is only 3’4” tall, and we k on how they play, Ralston is far better in the air than Juaranovic. Ralston poses more of a threat at the other end too. Also, everyone is allowed a bad game here and there.

 

He had a perfectly good goal chalked off and had a penalty shout that the TV cameras never even gave us a replay of.

 

His quality going forward wasn't questioned.

 

It's not about a bad game, it's about Juranovic being a better defender and us needing our strongest available back 4 in a game we have struggled to win in the past. We have plenty of attacking options without Ralston, defense needs to be priority.

 

Not a fair game to judge him on - he was carrying about 2 stone extra weight on his chin

Ralston is better in the air than JJ. I'd say that's pretty important defense wise against Livi. Plus they are a very difficult team to break down. If GG is up front, I would play Ralston, he seems to pick him out very well with his crosses.

 

He starts, need him to have a good game at the back as well as the front today. Said on here last week we can't ever again rest Taylor and Juranovic for the same game. Weakens us defensively on both sides which increases the pressure on or CBs which leads to uncharacteristic mistakes even from CCV (which we saw last week).

But if we have to rest at least one I'll take Tyalor starting over Jura because Ralston is well ahead of Bernabei atm.

Very "Juranovic" like performance today. Defensively very solid and nothing notable came down that side, involved in moving the ball more than in the attacking play. Got a few crosses in today but none really that threatening, excellent pass to Taylor in the build up for the first goal.

Needed his height and physicality today, and liked his tackle on the * body slamming Kyogo in the first half. Manages to get those sort of things done really well without it affecting his game.

 

Have no problem with either starting but Tony would always be my preference. It's a tough one because Jura is too good to be kept on the bench all the time though, so think it's good the way Ange is utilising the two of them.

 

Happy to say Ralston proved me wrong today, was excellent defensively. My only gripe is Juranovic being on the bench when we finally get a pen pmsl

 

Brings that bit of physicality that we need against the like of these hammer throwers.

 

Loved his celebration when the fourth went in, you might only see it if you were in the north stand

 

Love how much he brings to our attacking game. Defensively Juranovic is clear, but with our style of play it's nice having somebody like Ralston helping up front.

 

I don't think there is another player in our squad right now who loves Celtic more, bleeds green and white. Love oor Tony
