    If it wasn't for Paul dickov and a miracle comeback 18 year ago they'd still be a 3rd tier no mark team.

    No it doesn't, man city may not want to sell right now but who is to say their opinion may change next year when Paddy can't get a look in when it comes to their squad and he is getting frustrated and just wants to * off out the club. Having first refusal of a fee set should we wish to buy him makes sense to me.... especially if he gets better and lights up the cl they then can't go upping the price.
