    Ange applied for the Celtic job in 2019 via his uk based agent. So that explains how lawwell knew about him.

    Few points from my perspective tonight:

    - I think he got the striker wrong tonight. That was a game for Giakoumakis if ever there was one. February game away to Aberdeen. I didn't fancy Maeda at all;
    - Waited a while to make a sub which was strange;
    - Work still needed on the set pieces and defending them.

    Important win though but we need to still be able to manage games second half. We got too comfy after that 1st half, Aberdeen were never in a million years going to be as poor 2nd, and he should have expected that.

    Not a vintage performance tonight but it's 3pts, winning ugly and keeps us top. Shows resolve. Thinking back to this time last year....jeez.

    Looking back at the 3 weeks off there, I didn't think we'd be top. I thought at best we'd be a couple behind, yet here we are....top of the pile after playing the zombies, Hearts, Hibs, Motherwell and Aberdeen recently. Some things to iron out absolutely like taking chances and drop off in second halves, but I'm going glass half full and very happy where we are.

    A break in the league with a nice home cup game, then go at it against Glimt. Happy days.

    Needs to stop taking so long so make changes when it’s clear as day they’re needed. Been guilty of it a good few times this season. Still love the * though.

    Aye it cannot be underestimated how hard a run of fixtures this has been.

    The squad deserve massive credit. Did not expect to be in this position.

    Subs definitely came too late. Still, that third goal had Ange written all over it, straight after conceding going for the jugular. Love the big man.

    Should've made the changes earlier no excuses now with 5 subs and a strong enough bench, but we're scoring goals and winning which is the most important thing deserves massive credit for where we are in the table currently we've been ruthless since the winter break.

    Seemed slow to react with subs but also tweaking the system slightly when up against it. Would it really be so bad to have two DMs sitting when 2-0 up away from home against one of the better sides? Even for 15 mins to take the sting out of it.

    Hats off to him. He's got some massive results. Hearts and Aberdeen away and the huns at Celtic Park were huge wins.

    Think this is the first game since the break that he’s gotten his game management slightly off, but with games coming thick and fast, one or two ropey decisions are bound to happen. You can’t call all of them right.

    Tbf mate, this is the first I’ve noticed it in a good while - and I was probably the one on here who was complaining about it most before.

    Look at the Hun game: got every single sub right, and at just the right time. Been similar most matches since we’ve come back. He’s definitely improving in that regard. Having better options must help too though.

    First half Maeda was perfect though, 5 minutes into the 2nd half it was obvious Giakoumakis should have been brought on, and I was screaming for Bitton and Rogic as well. We needed our foot on the ball, calm heads and fight up top and to get us up the pitch. Totally ignored Aberdeen’s tactical changes that were bullying us.

    Yeah second half his lack of reaction to their changes was slightly worrying. Could see the game slipping away from us and nothing changed, but then Jota pops up with a winner so all’s forgotten.

    As has been said it’s been a very, very tough run of fixtures and it’s been a monumental effort to get where we are.

    Agreed on Huns game & also no arguments with Sunday there either. But I felt he should’ve made subs earlier at Hearts (Hatate one player who springs to mind again) as well so not that long ago.
