I was the same last summer in writing this season off before it began. Not because I didn't rate Ange. I genuinely had no opinion yes or no towards him as I knew nothing about him. I just felt off the field the club was an utter shambles and on the field it was arguably even worse with the team needing all but an entire rebuild. I just didn't see how Ange could sort that mess out and build a team and win in his first season. Now of course we may still not win the title this season but the fact we are where we are and have won the league cup already is remarkable. If Ange is to complete the turn around and win the title it would without doubt in my mind be our most impressive league title success since Wim Jansen in 1998.

Hows Alan Brazil going anyway? Still winging it with wrong facts I'd say.

I had written this season off completely due to the job that lay in front of us. The state we were left in with loanees taking up a huge percentage of our squad and no purchase option on any of them (not that you'd exercise that clause if we did), we had the vast majority of our spine leave, McKay upped and left after 24hrs in the job, huge disconnect between the fans and the club (because the board are *), the Howe saga, the huns had trounced us to the league title and were an established, settled squad and we appointed a nobody to steer us back from the brink.

I honestly thought it'd be a long way back where there was the possibility we'd be trophyless for the next couple of seasons. We were dead in the water. I had this season as a rebuild. It was a free hit for Ange as long as we saw some progress, which wasn't hard tbf. It's quite difficult to lose the league by 20+ points. Lennon and Co made it look easy, but it's really not.

The fall from grace was endless.

The fans were furious going from an established manager in Howe to someone who no one had ever heard of. Despite what the Australians say, Ange was an unknown quantity in Europe, understandably.

He has changed all our minds going from a free hit to genuine title contenders in the space of 8 months. The players he has brought in and for the value, is remarkable. His attitude and philosophy, amazing. Uniting the fans behind the club again, astonishing. The football on offer by us, scintillating.

I honestly think the job the man has done is on rivaled by the moon landings and won't be overtaken until a cure for cancer is found, or at least until a cure for the hungover is found.

In short, I love you Ange.

Those worried he'll have his head turned down south needn't for this season or the next. His busted a nut getting Celtic to where it is and he will see it through. Seeing it through means winning the league first- however it is but a step to his ultimate aim: European football. Look how seriously he took those games when he didn't need to. He can get that opportunity with Celtic or risk being sacked after 8 weeks elsewhere, which lets be fair was what was predicted would happen at Celtic. Having said that be wary of promises of a dynasty-ask Brisbane Roar how that panned out.

As a brisbane roar fan, the "i want to build a dynasty with brisbane" comment then quit and signed by melbourne victory next day still hurts to this day. We have been in free fall ever since mainly due to our * owners but still that was a dark day.

Imagine worrying about him leaving 7 months into his reign. * enjoy it, this will be the best football we're likely to see at this club for a long, long time.

Here's my first, too many had made up their minds based on zero knowledge of the man.. overwhelmingly those who knew him were almost 100% positive..

The job he's doing is beyond anyone's expectations though, when you consider the state we were in when he took over.

Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou says there are people in "positions of power" who will never understand the impact football has on people's day-to-day lives.

But the Australian insists he does - and has taken "full responsibility" for living up to fans' expectations.

Postecoglou was quizzed on his emotional quotes after Celtic 's 3-0 victory over Rangers, in which he thanked the raucous Parkhead crowd for their unwavering support.

It was certainly a release for the 60,000 in attendance, especially so soon another period of uncertainty where fans were left in the dark as sporting events were limited to 500 fans over the New Year period.

Postecoglou has frequently insisted that football is empty without fans and he backed the decision to bring the winter break forward for that reason.

And he was the last one off the pitch on Wednesday night - even admitting he was "embarrassed" by how long he stayed out to celebrate with the supporters.

Speaking ahead of Wednesday's trip to Aberdeen, he said he knows exactly what it means to them - even if some decision-makers can't wrap their heads around it.

Postecoglou said: "When I listen to politicians or people in positions of power, they don't understand the investment people have in their football clubs.

Sometimes their whole week's mood is determined by how their team does, and for some people that's hard to conceptualise

But that's how much it means to some people. We bear that responsibility, I bear that responsibility.

"That's the essence of what I was trying to explain after the (Rangers) game."
