Just on recruiting whilst Ange has been behind Japanese recruiting ..wonder if CFG assist or he has access to their scouting reports? This excerpt was from an article on Athletic a few days ago actually discussing Rangers lack of recruiting

The togetherness theme is, frankly, a miracle in modern football.

Anyone who's ever played representative (at any level) will understand how team ethos goes out the window as people try to shine individually for further progression up the greasy pole. Imagine what that must be like at full professional level where people are competing for their livelihoods...

For Ange to inspire his bhoys to achieve a genuine sense of being a team (like you typically find with mates playing * level) is nothing short of incredible. It makes them even more of a joy to watch when they so obviously like each other and fight for each other.

How many other professional managers could do that? It really is why he's loved everywhere he goes (and why he had so many Aussie fans pouring onto here to wax lyrical).

Feels like since the derby people outside of Scotland, and Australia obviously, are starting to take notice of the job he’s doing and the football we’re playing…

Seen a few random football pages talking about the style, The Athletic doing an article comparing it to Gasperini’s football etc.

In a few years they’ll be talking about Ange’s Celtic like Bielsa’s Bilbao, Klopp’s Dortmund, Gasperini’s Atalanta :ange2:

Yep, noticed the same. The way Ange has Celtic playing has definitely got the other football nerds talking. Great for Ange, great for Celtic and great for both Scotland and Australia. And to think of how the Socceroos are currently playing…..* me if only we still had Ange in charge.

I’m sorry i doubted you Aussies, I’m sure it was after the Livingston defeat i was beginning to doubt ange and many of yous predicted exactly what has happened and just to wait and give it time. Delighted i’ve been proved wrong, haven’t loved a Celtic manager like this since MON. :ange2:

We don’t like saying we told you so, so we won’t. And look to be honest, there’s a long way to go. But Ange is an absolute unique manager, as we’ve ( us Aussies) have said many times, the bloke is deadset obsessed with the game. A full on football nerd and aficionado of ‘the beautiful game’. It’s not a chore to him to watch endless footage analysing games, researching players etc. He thrives on that. One thing I will say though is he has an ability to get everyone playing at the top of their game. He’s such a great man manager and motivator.
Im loving following his Celtic journey. I truly believe the next few seasons Celtic are going to have great success, and not just domestically.

A long way to go this season mate as you say, but before this campaign had even began i had wrote it off. If you see previous posts of mine i said we needed malmo to do us a huge favour at the start of the season as they couldn’t get 2 lots of champions league money, (I had wrote this season off as they would win the league at a canter). No matter what happens now, if we don’t win the league this season he’s done more than i expected we could do this season, which was challenge they orange *. If we don’t win the league he’s still done an unbelievable job. If he wins the league though he has hero status forever and ever.

That argument did not hold substance from the start . Ange took Australia to the FIFA World Cup finals in Brazil. He qualified them for the WC finals in Russia. If he was not FIFA recognised and qualified to manage/coach them, he would not have got the gig. That also goes for winning the Asian Nations Cup. That also goes for the national teams he managed at lower levels for Australia.

People need to research him, know about him and have some common sense. The man has been qualified for a long time and has no need to explain himself to the sensationalist media thirsting for a controversial comment from him in order to get a 'scoop' - parasites.

    Google him on Wikipaedia.

If Celtic manage to ever do a pre-season tour of Australia and get to Melbourne to play they will get a similar warm welcome from the fans.

Ange was big-time here as well, as this clip well shows. I think people overseas may have a stereotyped view of Australia as a land of beaches, deserts, kangaroos, and barbecues. We are certainly more than that.

Imagine we had ended up getting Benitez or Howe in, I dread to think !! Ange has been unbelievable both with his signings and playing style which we are now seeing come together with almost a fully fit squad to pick from !!

He’s not leaving Celtic for Leicester :giggle2:

He’s not giving up opportunities for titles and Europe, as well as relocating his young family again, for the sake of Leicester.

given his young children, I doubt Ange and his wife will want to unsettle them and take them to a new school so quickly after arriving in Glasgow.

he’ll be in Glasgow for a few years if things keep going well.

It would surprise me greatly (and * me off thunderously).

Ange is here to create a legend and that takes more than a year.

Having said that, the danger will always be a massive offer from the EPL (or similar) which sets his family up for life, but even then I think he'd stay until the project at Celtic was (by his standards) complete.

That would only make him even more valuable, so win/win.

Hamish of '67 hail hail' (excellent shows btw), interviewed one of Ange's co coaches from the Aussie Youth National Team set up, he being former Melbourne Victory coach as well Ernie Merrick-Scotsman, he mentioned that Ange got his Fifa recognised badges just after he did, many years ago. Ange came to Celtic ready to go, contrary to false information at the time.

Ange’s project is a few years from completion yet. And seriously Leicester? Not exactly where he see’s himself I’d say.
I think it’s safe to say he’ll be a Bhoy for at least 3 years, then worry.
