Pretty sure like all managers he’s most interested in wins but maybe also believes not to publicly bag the players and keep a positive spin

He thinks he’s the first to do it and smart but it’s flawed to * why isn’t he being a bit smarter about it …. For instance right back pushes to midfield only when he has the ball and only gets couple of touches as he’s forward the centre back drops deeper and the left back certainly doesn’t move into midfield at same time meaning have three at the back strachans and oneils played that way

However, it was working in those 6-0 wins. What has happened since ?

Some amount of nonsense getting spouted on here people calling for anges head a 1/5 of the way in to the season. Yes there plenty of room for improvement but Iv seen enough so far to c that he’s building something special. Score line aside tonight we went toe to toe against a champions league side on paper, 4-0 flattered them and on another night we could have out scored them. Ange is playing with an identity. Would much rather watch us play like this than get luckily results in Europe playing backs to the wall anti football. We find consistency in the league we will skoosh it.when we have played to our full potential so far this season a can honestly say the football is breathtaking and 2-3 months down the line we are going to be even better, absolute sellick da patter but keep the faith is never been so relevent as it is now

Would agree turnbull and tam shouldn’t play together far too like for like. Both are what u would call a luxury kind of play all the ability in the world but they neither are athletes and that’s what separates them from being good player to being top level. Christie is a massive lose for us and not replacing him is evident in games like tonight. Need more balance in midfield and we also need to work with what we have atm. Would like to see more from bitton playing the deeper role with McGregor been if the link and one of turnbull or rogic playing the creator role. Reckon this could sort our midfield problems until at least the next transfer window

I would rather grind out a win or take a draw away than play innovative football and come away with no points each week.

Rogic and Turnbull do not have the speed or stamina to be in midfield and thus they lack creativity for the role because they are not mobile enough for a whole game.. They both should not be in the team in the same half if playing because the midfield balance suffers as a consequence. Callum is more a natural 10 or 8 than a 6. We simply do not have players available and capable enough to fit into midfield on a rotational basis, either as two 6s and an 8 or vice versa.

We need to look to Portugal, Spain, Denmark, Japan, Brazil for more players within our transfer costs.

Surely u must c then that the way we have played in Europe so far under ange, after 3 games against 3 top sides(AZ, vigo and last night) that the signs are there that we in time are building towards been able to compete against top teams. Would go as far as saying performance wise we have looked better in Europe under ange than we ever did under Rodgers maybe the Man City and Valencia game aside. Anges is a lot further ahead in terms of where we all thought we would be at this point and he’s genuinely looking like we could be building a special side if we progress like are. There still a lot to improve on but the signs are there we are heading in the right direction

    It was betis not vigo

I’d say we look worse compared to lennons first season back, defending is shambolic and i don’t blame the players for it.

Jacket on a shoogily peg already. Why can't he implement his system slowly as he gets the players in the door that can play it. What's wrong with respecting your opposition and playing a way that can get a result.

Instructing our full backs, when they are Tony Ralston and Adam Montgomery, to receive the ball in midfield positions against opposition like we played last night is just asking for trouble. The second goal highlighted it so well - Ralston not comfortable receiving it there and then he’s caught really badly out of position and they hardly have to work to score.

I’d go nearly as far as saying it’s delusional from Ange. People said Rodgers was naive in Europe but he was a master tactician in comparison to what we saw last night (and away to Betis).

I’ve always said this season wasn’t one where I considered a real sustained title challenge to be particularly realistic. Having said that, no team domestically seems to have really ran away with it so far, and we absolutely should be doing better than we are.

I’m growing increasingly skeptical of Ange’s ability to play a part in that modernisation. He’s increasingly looking like an idealist with a large degree of tactically naivety, imo.

Dono where you are getting comparing us to lennons first season back for starts Lennon at least had a settled and better defence but going forward he basically let the players do what they wanted and relied on them performing week in week out. Helped when u had eddy flying Forrest playing well and McGregor creating everything, lennons evident lack of being a tactical manger was there for all to c since day dot. Ange is got a style of playing that we have been crying out for for the last 3 seasons.don’t know how you can even compare the 2 there that miles away from each other

Cannot believed that Ange reckoned Tam and Turnbull would be good enough together in midfield to get us a result.

My comment was more in relation to our weekly League games . The fans are getting anxious with the lack of points being tallied per week. Ange needs to start getting results and some continuity. Getting a 1-0 win result for the next 5 games would be fine by me at present. I want him to succeed at Celtic and he needs to have the fans on his side. Once he has all his players back and gets some more, his project tactically can continue.

The football not even what I would call innovative.

I mean, innovation is really doing something differently but better than it has been done previously. The electric motor is innovation over the combustion industry as far as transport goes. Sticking square wheels on your car isn’t.
